Great glove

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:Runs small

The grip pads on the finger are really nice and do help out, I have been using them the last few days to drive to work because it is so cold out.

Great little glove for outdoors

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:Runs small

I typically wear a S glove, I had to get L for my hand to fit. These are good gloves if you plan on doing things with your hands. They are waterproof, lightweight and warm as long as your fingers and hands are busy moving. I wouldnt suggest using them for things like snowmobiling, skiing, etc. if the temps/windchill is cold. Easy to get on/off and they have grippy pads on the hands which helps in cold weather.

Great touring glove

I picked these up earlier this year as a touring glove and have put it through a few tough days on the mountain. If you're looking for a really warm glove, look elsewhere. This is basically a nice lightweight windproof glove. Provides just enough warmth when really working up a sweat going uphill in the mountains. Has a great fit and nice articulation in the fingers. I've also used it for warm spring resort riding as well and worked great.

One thing to note, the version I picked up has the Etip pointer and thumb for use with a touchscreen device. After a few days of touring, the Etip fabric is completely worn out and starting to tear (hence the 4 our of 5 stars).

Overall, it has definitely served it's purpose and will be returning for another season next year.

How murch warmer are these over the regular Apex gloves? I was wondering if the extra $$$ was worth it.

The extra money isn't totally worth it to be honest. The insulated gloves are definitely a bit warmer (you will feel a significant difference at about 20 degrees, but not above that). However, the insulated gloves are not as form fitting and feel more bulky.
