Description

Winter weather protection for groomed resorts and powder-capped peaks.

When last night's powder dump motivates you to call in sick at work, slide on The North Face Women's Inlux Insulated Jacket and head out to the ski resort. The HyVent 2L fabric is waterproof so you stay dry while you play in the pow all day, and it's surprisingly breathable so you don't stifle with exhaustion. The raschel fleece lining feels silky next to your baselayer or your skin, and the 100g Heatseeker insulates your body mid-winter.

Unzip the underarm vents to let out some heat after an intense ride, and cinch the attached hood down tightly during blustery blizzards. Tabs at the cuffs and a cinch-cord at the hem keeps cold out and warmth in. The napoleon pocket can hold your pass to leave room for your phone in the hand pocket so you can catch your boss's surprise call halfway through a glorious ski session.

  • HyVent 2L (70D nylon faille weave)
  • Raschel fleece lining
  • 100g Heatseeker (polyester) insulation
  • Underarm venting
  • Attached, adjustable hood
  • Adjustable cuffs and hem
  • Two secure zip hand, one napoleon chest pocket

Absolute favorite winter jacket

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Bought this jacket at end of season last year so didn't use it much until the last couple months. It's wonderful. Warm and flexible, not crunchy sounding like some shells. The fit is definitely small, I usually wear a small (5'5", 130#) but I got a medium for layering and its fits perfectly. Love the soft furry stuff around the face and chest, my ONLY complaint is I wish it ran down the sleeves, too because the lining of the sleeves feels a bit cool when wearing a short sleeve shirt underneath. It does not feel short on me as some have reported. I've even worn this for winter rock climbing and it didn't scuff or tear at all. So glad I bought it! I wear it every day.

UPDATE: Wore this snowboarding this weekend for the first time. While it is too short for me for this purpose, it was blustery, snowy and cold. This jacket was totally soaked on the outside, dripping wet. But I was 100% dry underneath, even after 8 hours.

Runs small; could use another pocket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

I tried this on in a store first and was glad I did as it runs small. It's warm and comfortable. My only complaint is a shortage of pockets. Besides the two hand pockets, there is only one other pocket, and it is too small for a phone.

Great Coat but runs short and small

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small

Jacket is terrific, my daughter loved it!!! Warm, flexible and looks great. It just ran to short in the arms for her and had to return it and find another size.

Customer Service was GREAT when returning!!

Great Customer Service!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share
  • Fit: Runs small

I just bought this coat for my wife for Christmas and the "gear head" that helped me out, Danielle H, was VERY helpful. She helped me find something that would work perfectly for my wife and I am absolutely sure that my wife will love it! I will definitely be shopping here again!

Be careful what size you choose

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

I needed a warm winter coat for walking the dog, going to the mountains, and taking my students out to recess during the cold months in Virginia. I really love the look of this coat, but am returning for a size bigger. I always wear a S or XS in shirts/jackets, but this was a little too snug for me. I am 5'9 and 130 lbs with wider hips. I figured the SMALL would be fine, but it's not quite roomy enough for a winter coat that will have thick layers underneath. Will go up a size, still love the coat!
