Description

It’s snowing. Dive in.

Whether the slopes are ripe with fluff or steeped in slush, The North Face Women’s Inlux Insulated Jacket will keep you dry. The HyVent 2L shell and fully taped seams block water while letting perspiration escape, so you’ll never feel soggy. Synthetic insulation cranks up the warmth on frosty mountain days.
  • Underarm zippers let hot, muggy air out and fresh air in
  • Fleece on collar prevents chafing
  • Fleece on upper body lining creates extra warmth where you need it most
  • Fully sealed seams prevent water from sneaking through the most vulnerable stitching
  • Heatseeker insulation traps warmth without adding unnecessary bulk

Love this jacket!! I have 2 of them! My first one was a small in Gravity Purple, then I purchased a medium black one. I am 5'6" and 125lbs. The small is a good size but I went with the medium this time because you can layer a hoodie under it more comfortably. The sleeves are a perfect length. And also the length! I definitely recommend this jacket! Its SO warm. I'm from Michigan so I'm used to below freezing temps! I absolutely love it!:)

This is a very beautiful jacket! I plan to use it as a ski jacket this year. I'm 5'2" and 125lbs and I bought the medium. Originally I bought a small, but it seemed a bit constricting with a thick fleece underneath. If you plan to use it for winter sports, I'd size up. For casual wear, a small would have been fine since I'm usually a S/XS in NF gear. I got the Premiere Purple, which is more purple-y (and less pink!) than the photo here lets on. It's warm, but definitely not as warm as a down parka. A good deal, especially if you can buy it during one of Backcountry's many amazing sales!

is this coat good for harsh winters?

It totally depends on what you define as a harsh winter, what you're doing in it, and your own tolerance to the cold/your metabolism.

I am 5'5" and 140lbs I have this jacket in size medium and it fits perfect!!! The octopus blue is gorgeous, a bright blue-green (more blue) I even fit a thin fleece under it. It has cozy soft insulation and pit zips. I only wish that I could zip in a liner, it does not have the inner zipper for that. I chose this over the closer jacket ( after much thought as I wanted a liner jacket as well which this one does NOT have, but the closer triclimate does have and I liked the solid color more on the Inlux) I ordered the north face bomber hoodie in the same color too. The length is just below my waist and it has a great hood and pockets too!! This will be great for the Maine winters here on the coast.
