A compressible jacket when you need the protection
You want to be prepared for the worst on the trail, which is why you carry a first aid kit. When the weather turns unexpectedly, you'll be glad you brought The North Face Women's Indylite Jacket with you to seal out the elements while you hightail it back to the car.
Cut to be form-fitting while still allowing room for layering, the Indylite possesses many of the same qualities as its male counterpart; light weight, waterproof breathable 2.5L HyVent fabric, and packability. HyVent is used throughout the entire jacket, keeping water and wind from getting to you. The critical seams through theshoulders and sleeves are taped, so water stays out of places it typically gathers. Mesh underarm panels ventilate so you don't overheat while climbing, and a two way zipper backed with a draft flap gives you ventilation options at the top and bottom of the jacket while keeping air out when fully zipped.
The elastic binding on the elliptical hem around the cuffs and bottom of the jacket lightly hug your wrists and waist so cool air and rain don't find their way in easily. The media pocket with internal wire routing makes motivation a little easier to come by while the rain pounds down around you. A single zip pocket on the back of the jacket is decorated with a wildflower print and securely holds your wallet and ride nutrition. When the sun comes back out, zip this jacket into its rear pocket and stuff it into your backpack.
The North Face Women's Indylite Jacket comes in TNF Black, Magic Magenta, Juicy Red, and Bonnie Blue. It is available in five sizes, X-Small through X-Large.
