A light weight water resistant jacket for your dirt rides
When the weather turns nasty half way through your ride, you need a jacket that'll protect you from the elements. And while stuffing your hiking shell into your jersey may seem like a good idea, people will assuredly start questioning what that thing in your pocket is. Be prepared for Mother Nature, while avoiding ridicule, in the The North Face Indylite Jacket. This packable, protective jacket will ward off cold rain and wind when you're out in the saddle.
Cut into a relaxed fit, the 2.5 layer Hyvent fabric achieves the holy grail of cycling jackets -- it's both wind and water-resistant, while still being breathable. The seams are taped in critical areas where moisture is most likely to find its way in -- on the shoulders, sleeves, and collar. For ventilation, mesh side panels allow for underarm cooling, so you aren't overheating as you speed to finish your ride. Meanwhile, stretch mesh lines the cape vent across the shoulders. This lets heat and moisture escape without the risk of having rain infiltrate the jacket. And when you need to dump heat in hurry, the full-length, two-way front zipper lets you ventilate from the top or bottom. The North Face has also backed the zipper with a draft flap. This addition blocks wind and water at a point of the jacket that's usually an Achilles' heel.
A single zip pocket on the rear holds all your ride essentials, and it inverts to stow the jacket when not in use. The front zip pocket securely holds your music player and also acts as ventilation when needed. The North Face has also included reflective accents throughout the jacket to keep you visible to others on the trail.
The The North Face Indylite Jacketis available in four sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors Athens Blue, Monarch Orange, Rhubarb Red, and Black.
