Well, I'm a woman, and bought a pair of North Face Impulse Pants last year in a sporting goods store to go with the bicycle I'd just bought. A Mens's size medium fit fine.
I liked them so much, I bought 2 more pair from you--they're identical to the first, but have a smaller, more appealing, reflective stripe.
I live in these pants--they're light, comfy, forgiving of figure flaws, 3+ season, easy care, durable (except @ blackberry brambles), and relatively stylish. The tapered ankles are perfect for boots, and tucking into socks for tick protection, as well as cycling. (It's hard to find pants with tapered ankles that aren't tights...)

Are these pants semi-loose, that is, they are not tights? I have a number of other North Face athletic or running pants that tend to be on the loose side, and want to make sure these have a similar fit.

I love these, just like the XTC base shirt, I've used these pants for 3+ years, I've biked 14miles to work daily, ran, poured rain on them, I use them under my jeans when I ride my motorcycle in the winter and they keep me very warm as a loose base layer. They still look great, and hopefully will last many more years. Spendy buggers, but great.
