Description

A protective, warm, solid winter boot you can count on.

Kiss frigid, wet toes goodbye thanks to The North Face Women's Iceflare Mid GTX Boot. The waterproof breathable Gore-Tex membrane shields you from winter's harsh elements while you shovel your driveway, run errands around town, or play in the snow, and PrimaLoft insulation boosts the heat so your foot doesn't lose circulation when the temps dip. And to top (or bottom) it all off, IcePick lugs supply solid winter traction so you don't end up pulling a muscle doing the slippery dance.

  • PrimaLoft Eco 200g insulation in the toes and PrimaLoft Eco 100g insulation throughout the rest of the boot ensure your feet stay toasty and warm throughout your chilly excursions
  • Mylar heat-trapping zones in the forefoot, tongue, and underfoot for extra warmth
  • Waterproof breathable Gore-Tex membrane and waterproof PU-coated leather and ballistic mesh upper offer solid protection from the snow, sleet, slush, and rain
  • Injection-molded TPU mudguard provides protection from icy debris
  • Form-fitting neoprene collar improves fit and comfort
  • Medial and lateral X-Frame Roll Control stabilizer helps prevent ankle-rolls while you shovel the drive, navigate slippery terrain, or take your pooch for a walk midwinter
  • Northotic dual-density footbed with softer heel and forefoot pads supply comfort and support
  • TPU and EVA Cradle heel-stability and cushioning technology furnish all-day comfort and support
  • Lightweight, compression-molded EVA midsole cushions and supports
  • Durable TNF Winter Grip rubber outsole and IcePick temperature-sensitive lugs increase winter traction

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

pros: true to size fit; warm( 2 hours on trails in 0 degreeF); dry))) on trails in melting snow and slush; attractive
cons: for me, too heavy on the foot and too stiff in the ankle for me to flex my foot the way it likes; because I have a bad knee, this resulted in knee pain after my hikes.
If not for the heavy and stiff, I would have kept them.
