Description

Light, but tough enough for the road and trail.

The North Face Men's Hyper-Track Guide Trail Running Shoe amply demonstrates that a flexible, minimalist running shoe can also offer a secure, supportive fit and feel. Its lightweight welded mesh upper is crisscrossed with TPU overlays for a great fit, while the new Cradle Guide technology in the dual-density midsole offers both softer EVA on top for cushioning as well as firmer EVA underneath that's precisely engineered to both protect and stabilize your foot, and to make each stride as efficient as possible.

  • Lightweight, minimal upper construction is almost entirely welded to reduce bulk, weight, and chafing
  • Breathable sandwich mesh in upper offers cooling ventilation while TPU welded overlays give you a close, supportive fit
  • C-Delta metatarsal fit system holds your foot firmly in place
  • Perforated Northotic footbed offers support and underfoot comfort
  • Cradle Guide technology in midsole uses a mix of EVA densities to cushion maximal forces at foot impact, dynamically support the arch through pronation, and guide the foot through toe-off
  • 8mm drop accommodates a variety of running styles
  • Strategically positioned pods of high-abrasion rubber balance light weight with traction and durability

Very Durable shoes.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

I bought the shoes 6 months ago, It is very light and durable. Still the shoes is as it is. I think if you do run alot and do trailing frequently then it might be good for you but if you want comfortable shoes i am sure you can find more shoes comfortable than these in the market. I bought North Face for the first time and it did not disappoint me. If you have wide and extra wide foot then you may not want this shoes.

Another Great North Face Shoe

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

For the last 10 years, I have exclusively purchased North Face shoes for hiking and trail running. Yet again, I have not been disappointed. These shoes just fit my feet perfectly!

Ultra Slim

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Slim runnings
With the Ultra Guide rapidly disappearing I thought I would try these. Unfortunately the forefoot was narrow enough that it began to rub the lateral aspect of my 5th (little) toes. So, too narrow for those of us with caveman style feet.

Great Customer Service

I ordered these shoes as a b'day present but unfortunately they got lost and I never received them. I contacted Backcountry.com customer service (I spoke with Jessica T.) and they were amazing issuing a refund right away. With such a customer service (along with the great prices and the 100% guaranteed returns) I and my family will continue shopping for all our gear needs only from Backcountry.com .
Thank you once again for having our backs even when things go wrong

Almost feel like a trail racing shoe

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These shoes are super light and agile on the trails. They don't have the rock plate and aggressive tread of a true trail shoe, but unless you're running thru a rock quarry or up a slip & slide, who care's? They're ok on the road if you've gotta run a mile or 2 to get to a trailhead, but I wouldn't just run roads in them. Overall the upper breathes well, the toebox gives decent room and they grip the dirt well...two big thumbs up!
