Nice pants. Comfortable and easy zipper system. Zipper at bottom of legs allows easy, quick off and on with boots. Pockets are well placed too.

What is the weight of the fabric? The product description says "ripstop nylon" which tells me not very much. Will they stand up to bushwacking or a strong wind? Far too many of these pants are made from fabrics just too light for back country wear.

Responded on

"Ripstop Nylon" say it can handle the train...but not winds and not rain. it is like a lot of back country wear out there

do these pants have zipper on the bottom so you can remove bottom half without removing shoes?

Responded on

Ya they have a zipper that comes about half way up the bottom part of the pants. I have a pair of these pants and love them.

How are these under a pack belt? I don't want to buy $60 worth of rash.

Responded on

I have a pair that I use on all my backpacking trips. No isues with rash from a pack belt. I use a gregory Z55 which has a relatively unpadded hip belt compared to larger packs and have not had any rash or discomfort from these pants.

Do these pants have belt loops around the back side? I never thought I would have to ask that question, but, I really dislike the belt sleeve that so many outdoor pants come with nowadays. It makes the belt useless for hanging anything on.

Responded on

All my TNF pants have same. Imagine these must!

XL= 40-42 inches. You can find a size chart at the link below. Looks like BC forgot to add one.

Great pair of pants!

Pants are great and extremely comfortable. Very well made and strong against the elements. Recommend for the outdoors or just hanging out.
