Here's what others have to say...

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs large

I bought an extra small and still big for me. But I fold it anyway in the waist line just to fit my waist line. Its still nice for paddle boarding. Thanks!

bulky waist

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs large

I also found the waist a little big for a M. I use these for aerial silks, so the thick waistband and drawstring are not ideal, but they still work pretty well. I can also use them for climbing; they are long enough to fit under a harness, though not very long.

Bit loose

  • Gender:Female

I'm a hockey player and have bigger legs than waist ratio. It fits fine in the legs but the waist goes a little big. There's a draw string but still is a bit big.

A little fitted for my thunder thighs, but they were perfect in the waist. I liked the wide waistband, but sent them back for the comfort of my legs. Quality seemed good, though obviously I did not get a chance to put them through the ringer.

Do you usually wear northface? I find it runs smaller than say columbia - Am trying to decide L or xl - I am 5'9" and 153 lbs. I usually wear a medium to a large in columbia - what do you think?

I have a similar pair of board shorts to these that are made by Columbia and the same size (XL). And found the Columbia fits similar in the waist and a little roomier in the thighs.
