It’s hard to find a sandal you can truly hike in—a sandal that provides all the benefits of a hiking shoe, plus airflow and water drainage. That’s why The North Face Women’s Hedgehog Technical Sandal is so impressive. This kind of wet/dry performance doesn’t come around every day.

  • Water-friendly synthetic nubuck and stretch mesh upper conforms to your feet and dries easily after a stream-wading session
  • Hydrophobic SBR lining won’t stay soggy
  • Quick-pull lace-lock system lets you adjust and set out on the trail with minimal fuss
  • Compression-molded EVA midsole and HydroTrak sticky rubber outsole combine cushioning with excellent traction

Good feel but instant cosmetic problems

Love these sandals, but within a few weeks of pretty light use, the stitching on the trim started unraveling on one of the pair. Backcountry offered to replace with another color as this one's out of stock. Appreciate that, but don't want the other colors. If not for the defects, 5 *.

Been wearing them for 3 days

So far so good...When I pulled them out of the box the fit was right on I'm a 9 and got 9.5 for some hot weather wiggle-room.

They are much easier to get into and lighter than some of it's competitors. Stable, and comfortable all around.

I'll take them out on the trail soon enough and post pics.

      At the river!

They DO keep my feet safe from rocks. They DO fit nice and snug so my feet don't slide around. They DO keep the sand out when I'm on the bank. They DON'T keep out the sand when I'm in the river. I was a little sad about that, but the pros outweigh the cons.

They fit me true to size; my foot is kind of wide.

I loved the teva dozer but they changed the entire shoe (dozer111) and as a result it is terribly uncomfortable. I can't find any dozers on the net in my size. Has anyone worn the original dozer and the north face hedge frog technical sandal (2010 inventory). I have a circulation problem so I must have a tongue or something adjustable not fixed or elastic. Thanks for your help. These look like great sandals but I've never tried them on. Comparisons greatly appreciated.

I tried this shoe on and was amazed that the one I tried on by accident happened to be a 10....usually I take an 8.5 wide or 9 shoe.....does this usually fit so small?

How much 'movement is there in the sole?...

How much 'movement is there in the sole? I'm looking for almost zero due to a foot problem. Thnks!

Hi Kerry, this is a fairly flexibly sandal, it does have a TPU (Plastic) shank underneath the mid foot so it has a solid platform but it is definitely a long ways from zero flex. You may have hard time finding a sandal meeting this requirement. THanks

I am going hiking in the desert in Uzekistan and want hiking sandals that fit a lnng narrow foot. I LOVED the Keens Newport but the brand is too wide for my foot. Does anyone know if this North Face Hedgefrog Technicl Sandal may be more narrow?
