Stash extra layers, snacks, bike tools, and other essentials in your The North Face Gulper Hydration Pack, and get pedaling. In addition to gear, this Flight Series hydration pack lets you bring 70 ounces of liquid sustenance along on your half-day mountain biking adventure. The North Face partnered with Nalgene to bring you Encapsul reservoirs, which are sturdy, tasteless, and BPA-free. An elastic holder on the Gulper’s side stretch pocket secures your pump, so you don’t have to try to cram it in on top of your PB&J. The E-VAP panel lets your back breathe, and the removable waist-belt prevents your load from flopping around when you go over roots and rocks. Your bite valve and hose won’t flop around either—a magnet holds the valve in place while keeping it easily accessible.

Bottom Line: Stay hydrated during your half-day trail adventures.

Sam,Everything you mentioned will fit in the Gulpher. I have used the Hammerhead and was very happy with the fit and available space. Between the two I would go with Hammerhead just to have that extra space and extra liter of water. What will your primary use for the hydration pack be?Mahalo, Sumo

I would give this pack a 4 1/2 if it didn't have a sh#t bladder. I'm on my second warranty replacement from Nalgene (that leaked right out of the packaging). I've read several message boards and apparently I'm not the only one. The TNF pack works really well if it weren't for the use of this bladder (which is the primary reason for the pack to begin with) - too bad...

...Love riding up a hill and having my pack drain out on my back.

The top of the bladder needs to be extra tight or it will leak and seem like the hose barb/tube is leaking. beats the pants off anything I've used (camelbak, hydrapak, older north face).
