Best North Face Jacket

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I got this Jacket to survive my commute downtown in Chicago, It works great not bulky feminine and keeps me really warm. I got a M and it allows me to layer my clothes while still giving me room to breathe.

Great jacket!

I was looking at the North Face Transit down jacket vs the Greta and I'm glad I went with the Greta-- the Greta is so much more durable/waterproof on the outershell. It does make the jacket a little more bulky, but it is worth it because the waterproof and warmth is awesome in this jacket! Wish I had it all these years!

...a side note: typically, when it gets really cold out, like fridged, most materials like this may 'stiffen' a bit, and feel 'crinkly'...but soften up soon as you move into warmer temps. No big deal, and pretty common with water proof materials.
