Description

Easy to put on, easy to love.

When you're bundled in snow pants, parka, hat, and even gloves, the last thing you want to do is fumble with boot laces. Keep it easy this winter with The North Face Women's Greenland Zip II Winter Boot. A side zip makes gearing up for an excursion into Arctic weather a breeze; once you're out in the cold, the boot's 400g PrimaLoft Eco insulation keeps your toes toasty (down to -40 degrees, even). The waterproof nubuck, suede, and TPR upper keeps out moisture of any kind, while a genuine shearling collar adds coziness and class.
  • DriLex fleece lining adds extra warmth
  • Compression-molded EVA midsole cushions every step
  • Northotic dual-density footbed features a firmer arch and softer pads under the forefoot and heel
  • WinterGrip outsole is studded with temperature-sensitive IcePick lugs for goat-like traction on icy surfaces

I have to agree with others that these boots run small. However, I took that into account and ordered a size larger than I typically were in other shoes/boots. While they are a little stiff - at least at first - they are super warm! I haven't had a chance to use them to snowshoe yet, however I broke them in well just showling out the past few snows. My feet are always cold, now matter what I am doing. But with these boots I was completely unware of my feet for the first time in years!

Due to the size running small, they were difficult to put on, back of boot was too stiff and uncomfortable. I returned them.

I am on my second winter with my North Face Boots and they have served me well. I wore them today with my snowshoes. My feet stayed toasty warm the entire afternoon. The boots are extremely comfortable and have not packed down. I would say I will get many more years of use out of them. I also love the fact that they zip. No laces to come lose or break. Fabulous boots, would definitely recommend!

I ordered 2 pairs, one for my Friend and one for me. I ordered up on both pairs; one size 9 (for me) the other a size 10. I pulled out one box not realizing the size and tried them on. They were the size 10's. Couldn't believe how small they were. I also thought I left some packaging inside the boot because around my heal was very uncomfortable. I realized it was the insole that came up around the heal. I a'm normally an 8 1/2, in these boots I would have needed an 11. Very unhappy, one pair was to be a Christmas present.

When I moved to interior Alaska, I bought these boots in anticipation for the common -40 and -50 below. At the first wear at -30, these kept my feet really toasty and continued to do so. But after a week I ended up having something like an allergic reaction to something in the boots, and I got calluses on my shins.Tried wearing them a couple times and got the same result every time. Had to return them. If you've got sensitive skin, these aren't the boots for you.

I haven't had a chance to try them out in the snow/ice yet, but they are extremely comfortable and stylish. Had a pair of Columbia boots and the rubber rotted and cracked in 2 years time! Hope I have great success with Northface
