I am going to Russia for the winter. Will this jacket be warm enough for 30 below?

If I were you, I'd definitely go with something warmer and more wind resistant for temps that cold. I recommend the Peak Performance BL down jacket or the Marmot Ama Dablam jacket. An even better option would be a parka style jacket. If you really like this one, just make sure you buy a heavy wieght fleece or softshell for a midlayer.

Wondering how the Greenland would work as an outer for a Denali

Wondering how the Greenland would work as an outer for a Denali (large)?

This jacket is not a shell, but a down insulated jacket and very warm on it's own. It is not really designed for layering other jackers beneath as it is not a shell. However, you could layer a denali beneath it if you had the right size. However, with a denali beneath it may lose the fitted look. You might try looking for jackets that are more of a shell if you are concerned with layering.

The fur trim on the hood is attached via a zipper, and can be removed. However the actual hood is sewn on, and cannot be removed.

I have had a Greenland down jacket for years. I love it! I wear it skiing in 30% down to 0% and it keeps me warm and cosy. Too warm for 40% and up.
