For all your gravity-obeying and -defying feats on the snow, pull on The North Face Men’s Gravitation Triclimate Jacket for weather protection. This three-in-one jacket features a snap-in, insulated liner with a softshell hood so you’re covered in nearly any early and late-season conditions. A RECCO reflector might help in an emergency, and the pant-a-locks system lets you attach this jacket to your bottoms so snow can’t sneak in anywhere.

Bottom Line: Huck it.

This is an awesome jacket for any type of snow-sport. I used mine all last winter and it is still in tip top shape! It fits great, its very water proof, and it is nice and warm. The under arm zip's are ideal for venting while hiking and high perspiration activities. Lots of good storage in the pockets, and i LOVE the goggle pocket on the inside... A must have if you hike often!

Hi, a few questions:

1. At what cold temperatures is this jacket comfortable when all parts are used together?

2. Same question, when using just the liner? How much less protection from the cold does this liner have compared to a down liner?

3. Is the hood removable?

4. How long is the jacket? Does it go to the thigh (i.e., fully cover the butt)?

Thanks.

I used this jacket with the The North Face Monte Cargo Print Pant. Great integration with the pow skirt to pant connection. It's a great design because this jacket's pow skirt will clip into the belt loops of any pant on the market... Very compatible, versatile jacket!!!
Check out the Monte Cargo pants here-

Neil - what pants / bibs did you use with that jacket this past year? I'm trying to find a good kit that has good jacket / pant integration.

With proper layering, you can survive just about anything in this Jacket. This photo is from a 4 day backpacking trip to montana in march of 09. The jacket held up so good the whole trip, It was warm and dry all day and night!

Great Jacket

By:

I recently purchased this jacket and am thrilled with the features and warmth. Jacket fits very well. I am 6' tall, 190 lbs with a 34" waist, 44" shoulders and was told a large would be fine. After ordering the large, I exchanged for an XL. The large was tight in the arms and shoulders and did not leave much room for movement. IF you are unsure or inbetween sizes, I would recommend the next size up. Backcountry was very prompt with the exchange and did not charge me for return shipping.

Protection from anything

I bought this jacket a few weeks ago as my first North Face jacket. I walk 25-30 minutes to work and back home everyday in Chicago. This jacket has made me sweat on 10-20 degree windy days. Complete coverage from rain. I can't wait for it to get warmer so I can take out the inner hooded jacket and wear the shell as a raincoat.
