It does have ribbed cuffs, lots of pockets for gear, and removable faux fur trim on the hood, so it's kind of like a bulletproof outfit with a host of unique toys ... kind of.

this winter my son ended up in the hospital and i told him the only way he was going home was if he had a heavy coat. he wanted something with fur.. we looked online and found this little The North Face Gotham Jacket, I sent his dad to the retail store in salt lake city to purchase it and they were nice enough to bring out all the sizes so he could get the best ideal fit. my kid came home the next day. this is now his everyday winter jacket and he loves it. enough pockets for his Lego guys, there is a white patch on the inner bottom left flap that you can sharpie in their name to make sure they get their own, and it also has the sweater sleeve cuffs to make sure it wont get in too many spills. did I mention this is waterproof??? if your considering this buy. just do it. you'll regret that moment you go back to buy one after all and their all sold out!

Exceptional jacket at a great price

I am so pleased with this jacket which retails at other places for its full price. I check prices everywhere and backcountry.com always has the lowest and the best products. The jacket with the fur around the hood is super cute and keeps my boys warm and dry. The jackets are true to size though. I was hoping the S 7/8 would be larger but it's not. I had to order the M instead. Still, I am happy with the quality of these jackets--they are North Face after all!
