Well done

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I've owned North Face fleece before, but this is by far the best. This thing is way warmer than I expected it to be, which is a huge plus. Fits true to size- I'm 5'10" and 140lbs and a small fits nicely without being to short anywhere. I've tried the Patagonia better sweater, and as much of a Patagonia fan as I am, I think this beats it. And for $20 less! What's not to like?

What size is best for someone 6' 2" and thin? About 155 lbs and 30" waist.

Hey mmi105255791,

In order for the sleeves to fit you I would think that a size large would fit nicely.

Worthy Investment

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I like things that work, look good, wash well and wear well and this North Face "sweater" fits the bill. I'm also the type of guy who doesn't mind owning multiples of the same thing in different colors when I find a product that fits all of the above criteria. I've had two of these for at least a couple of years now, since before the addition of the ribbing around the hem and cuffs, and I've worn them weekly from October - April here in Michigan. Both have been washed multiple times, no shrinkage, and look as good as the day I bought them. I just picked up my 3rd one in the Cherry Stain color and it's better IMO than the previous two. I like the addition of the ribbing and the zippered chest pocket for my cell phone when I wear it as my top layer. I'm 6'1" and 180 lbs. with reasonably long arms and the Large fits me perfectly. Dang, I may have just talked myself into picking up a 4th one in Brown Heather.

Super warm

Love it. Very warm. A little bit stretchy. 5'8" and 150lbs and ordered a Small. Fits well, but probably won't put it through the dryer because it can't afford to shrink. Sweet mid-layer. Haven't taken it hiking so can't comment on breathability, etc.
