The North Face invites you to step a little bit out of your fashion comfort-zone and take a chance. The Men's Gonzo Jacket has the weather-beating features that you've come to expect from one of the world's premier outdoor clothing manufacturers, but with a unique style that sets it apart from the cookie-cutter shells that cover the ski slopes.

I'm looking for a new jacket, possibly considering this one, but I was wondering how long the zipper is on a large. I want a tall freestyle fit and I'm 5'7", so about 32"? Anyone know?
A large will swallow you.. but you can always use the "chat now" option and have them measure for you. To get something from TNF slim and tall, you'll need to get something that is Performance Fit, not the standard fit like this one.
Can't beat the breathability and ability to keep you dry for the price. Skied all day in a very wet snow and never got a drip we after using this all season. Lots of style and performance, can't beat it.

Diego, this sale is for past season colors so I doubt if they will be getting more stock of this model. It wouldn't hurt to use the "Chat Now" and ask a BC rep to verify.
at this price point, hard to beat. i have had the gonzo out more than 5 times now in a very stormy, snowy & cold wasatch november. it has exceeded my expectations, performing very well in all conditions. i haven't yet needed to ventilate the shell (like i said, it's been cold) but it's been beaten up pretty good by howling winds, sub-zero temps & heavy snow/wet.
the zippers are great - easy to work & the offset up high makes a ton of sense. the goggle pocket comes in handy as a sandwich pocket or anything else a bit oversized. its been warmer than i expected, really keeps the wind out & drawstrings at the hem work great. the pow skirt with belt loop snaps is a revelation for me & works awesome. can't believe i ever lived without. it's a no frills, performance shell & it's a pretty design as well. i would highly recommend. the fit is normal as far as i can tell. i usually wear a large & this one fits great.
I'm a snowboarder that's lives in Northern Wisconsin. So no mountains here but we sure do get some cold temps and some crazy blizzards that come off of Lake Superior. Being a snowboarder and a teenager I do keep in mind the fact that the ladies might be "checking" me out when I'm shredding so I try to keep fashion in mind when buying gear. This jacket definitely does a tremendous job of this! It looks cooler in person! The fit is perfect not tight but tight enough so it doesn't look like its huge. I highly recommend this jacket for two reasons: for one its from the North Face so only the finest materials and secondly it looks awesome and feels awesome!!!!!
This jacket is a great buy. I'm from Boston and primarily do my boarding in New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. This jack is thin but keeps you warm and dry from the elements. It is designed so you can comfortably fit clothes under the jacket which adds even more warmth. The great thing about this jacket is that you can use it in the winter for boarding/Skiing and it's light enough to use it in the early spring for those cool rainy days.
TNF Fargo Cargo Pants work well with this jacket...in my opinion...they also come in a cool array of colors too and they aren't too expensive either...check them out...:-)
I would say at least 20000mm but probably more like 25000mm
Went to Whistler last weekend, it was pissing rain all day and I stayed COMPLETELY dry. my 3L burton idiom 20000mm pants did not stay dry, which is why I say the gonzo is at least 20000mm.
i'm wondering why you think the jacket might run small? i read another review somewhere online that said the jacket runs big. where did you hear it runs small?
