The North Face outfitted the Women's Ginger Delux Jacket with enough weatherproofing to survive a blizzard, enough styling to separate you from the tourists, and enough bells and whistles to satisfy even your small-detail needs. Inspired by The North Face's team of freeride athletes, this little number easily transitions between charging off the tram and heading out for a night on the town.

  • HyVent shell jacket has a waterproof breathable membrane that keeps you dry from wet weather outside while still allowing sweaty vapor to escape underneath the shell
  • Fully taped seams adds to overall wet-weather protection by eliminating the potential for moisture to enter at fabric interfaces
  • Synthetic Heatseeker insulation provides ultimate warmth without making this jacket look or feel bulky
  • Re-designed underarm zips have been rotated forward to allow for better venting
  • Removable powder skirt snaps in to keep snow from invading on deep days, and snaps out for warmer spring shredding
  • Internal Lycra wrist cuffs cover up your hands and keep the sleeves in place and snug against your gloves
  • Small touches make the difference and include a magnetic front closure, handwarmer pockets, a wrist accessory pocket, and an internal goggle pocket

Stylish jacket!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

This jacket is really stylish. The front clasps are magnetic which is easy and fast, and the cut is roomy but not too baggy. I know the other reviewers reported problems of the fabric wearing out, but I've worn this jacket over 150 days and have had no problems yet. It's warm and I really like it.

One problem

The jacket is a great ski jacket and the style is also great. The one issue is the top Velcro can get caught on the jacket and begin pulling the threads out. All I had to do was buy a short piece of Velcro at a craft store to fix it.

    Fabric Flaw

I bought this coat (directly from the North Face) and LOVED the coat...but unfortunately the pattern in the fabric seems to have a flaw. I wore it daily to work with a laptop bag slung over my shoulder. Where the bag hits on the jacket, the stitching in the pattern of the coat is pulling out/fraying. Not sure how to describe this but it is not holding up. I was very sad to have to return it after only 2 months. Came to BackCountry and picked up the Marmot Lone Tree instead...hopefully I like it on.
