Nice jacket!

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

I'm 5"9", 133 pounds and it fits great. Yes, sleeves are long, mid-finger length, but i like that for warmth. The black is deep black, quilting subtle and attractive. Hood works well for viewing and warmth. The very bottom is a stretchy fabric that tucks the coat into your upper thighs--keeping out wind, snow, etc. Well designed. I really liked this coat, just too expensive for where i am right now. Tad heavy, but its a heavy-duty jacket.

Great jacket, weird sizing

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

I bought this jacket with the hopes of having a cute jacket that could still be functional enough to withstand a tough, cold winter in Chicago. There's all sorts of features: venting zips under the arms, pockets, a goggle cloth in the pocket near the wrist, and a powder skirt. The only problem I had with it was the sizing. I'm 5'2" 135lbs and first ordered a medium, so that I could easily layer underneath if I wanted. When I got the jacket, I looked like a little kid that stole their parents' clothing. The sleeves were way too long, and although I didn't mind the long length on the torso, I returned it for a size small. Even with the small, the sleeves are a little long, and it's awkward for me to fit my hands in the pockets because they're just a little bit too low. I love how the jacket looks and it is quite warm, but I'm on the fence about whether I'll end up returning this one too because of the fit.

Nice Jacket

I ordered this jacket blind having never seen it in person... It's a nice jacket!!! Color and fabric really nice. The weight is good and it will keep me warm during my Canadian winters :) I ordered a medium.. I'm 5"6" 135 lbs. it's a bit large all around but that will allow for more layering underneath. I recommend.

Nice idea, wrong fit

I loved the idea of this coat. I'm 5'8" and about 160 pounds (usually a size 12-14),and I don't consider myself a small person, so I first ordered an XL, expecting NF to run a little small. When it first came, it was huge, so I exchanged it for a smaller size (this coat does runner bigger than other NF coats). The smaller size just came, but I discovered that while the waist fit fairly snug and perfect, the chest, shoulders and arms are still several inches too big. Now, I've got quite a large bust and a smaller waist, so this is a very new and odd problem for me to have. The sleeves went to my fingertips, and everything from the waist up was huge. I cannot see myself skiing in this coat. I find it a very awkward fit and it made me look frumpy. It has lots of pockets, and stuff like that, but I don't see how anyone is shaped to fit this coat.

Love it!!!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Perfect, all kinds of bells and whistles....lots of pockets for everything with nice zipper handles, extra long cuffs to keep the cold out, love the hood it really blocks out the wind. Had to get one for my mom, she's really small 5'2 105 lbs and the medium fit perfect. The quilt pattern really dresses it up.

Just wondering, what color did you get? I love the blue because it looks teal online, but I?m afraid I will order it and it will be navy.

goes to work for you!

This was like my uniform last year--put it on and go to the hill feeling protected, warm, and ready for whatever. I LOVE the length and the retro quilting. I normally go a size larger than my clothing size in ski jackets (ie, I normally would wear a M sweatshirt but get a size L ski jacket), but this one trends on the larger size so a medium is perfect for me and still has the oversize fit that I like.
