The North Face Women's Get Down Jacket has all the weather protection you need for your ski days and all the stylish features you want for a winter's walk across town. Its HyVent 2L shell has fully taped seams for waterproof protection, yet the Get Down is surprisingly breathable so you don't feel stifled when you're hopping down a mogul run. The550-fill down insulation warms you to the core whether you ski on cold bluebird days or stroll across the cityscape on a snowy night.

  • Fit: True to size

I was very excited to get my new North Face jacket. When I received my jacket the mail the jacket was different than what the picture on the website showed. I am very disappointed. So, now I have to return it and back to no jacket!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm toasty warm ready for another run! This jacket makes the difference. It's so warm it's like putting on a blanket. All the right pockets in the right places. Feminine and stylish. It is their relaxed fit, not active fit, so it's not as fitted as I had hoped but the belt creates the same look. Totally waterproof and windproof and cleans easily. Wish it had pit vents, but after all it is a down jacket -so I would have a second jacket for 40+ degree days. Get it- you'll love it!!!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love this coat. So many pockets, it is perfect for a commuter that doesn't want to loose their gloves on the Metro. It is so warm that it HAS to be below 40 to wear. I was a little disappointed that both the description and the tags on the coat said that there are vents in the under arms, but there isn't. Perhaps it could be worn in 40-50 degree weather if it did.

Bought it for the right reasons

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: Runs small

Bought it for my girlfriend; I was looking for down high thread count, waterproof, and stylish not clunky. She loves it and its doing the trick for NYC weather.

Is this jacket water proof?

From TNF's product description:

Constructed with fully sealed seams and a waterproof HyVent® 2L exterior, this jacket is durable enough for seasons of use and fashionable enough to wear après ski. A relaxed fit with more room in the body and sleeves creates more room for mid-layers.
