Used in a Rock 22

By:
November 24, 2008

As is, this gear loft hangs too low to be used in the Rock 22; however, tie 2 knots and it's perfect. I just fed the extra through the central gear loop and tied the opposite corners together. This adjust the gear loft to the perfect height. If you think you could use the extra space, I would advise getting though. It's cheap and light, so I would get it regardless. Always be prepared.

I have a old Gregory Pack ( big but do not know size ) but the pads in the back have completely broken down and I replaced them with some foam.
Does Gregory, inc. replace these if they need to be replaced?

North Face Gear Loft #2 in Rock 32

By:
March 30, 2009

I use the North Face Gear Loft #2 in A Rock 32. The loft is great to for jacket, socks, etc. The fit was too loose using the plastic loop tensioners that came on the gear loft. I removed the tensioners and tied the chord directly to the loops on the gear loft. It fits and looks cleaner.

Too low in My Rock 22

By:
November 9, 2008

I also had problems with how it hung, even adjusted as high as it could go. So I customized the clips alittle, and hung it back up. Now it works great, and I dont even take it out when I tear down camp. Came in very handy too.

Gear Loft

I found this loft very useful. I did however find that it is very low hanging, even with it adjusted to be as close to the ceiling as possible.

I love the little pocket that hang down on this gear loft. They're great to put your little things like a lighter in a place where you can find it fast. The loft has a ton of room, perfect for two headlamps and toothbrushes
