The Milky Way is just one of billions of galaxies in the universe. But looking up at that cloudy band of starstuff on a cold winter night while feeling the snow crunch under your boots, you can’t help but notice how special one-in-a-billion can be. With its HyVent 2L shell and down liner jacket, The North Face Galaxy Triclimate Jacket will provide all the warmth and weather protection you need to keep your gaze focused upwards.

  • The North Face designed this 3-in-1 jacket to be worn multiple ways—the shell alone, the liner alone, and both the shell and liner together
  • The shell uses waterproof breathable HyVent fabric to shed outside precipitation and to allow excess internal heat and moisture to escape
  • 500-Fill down liner jacket provides good insulation for outdoor activities
  • The shell’s fully adjustable hood cinches tight around your head for when the wind and snow are really howling

Bottom Line: Warm winter jacket for exploring the cosmos.

Warm and Versatile

This three-in-one coat is one of the superior North Face jackets. The 550 down is warm and is not that bulky. Warn together with the exterior shell combats the coldest and snowiest winter days. Get it in blue, its very nice and the insulator is a subtle charcoal. Runs small in size. Hint what I do is where the insulator for a majority of time because it gives me the warmth and is not bulky and is smooth. I then attach the outer shell when I-m out for a while on the windy Lake Michigan beachfront or skiing.

Are pit zippers better or front gore zippers better for ventilation

Pit zips give you good core venting, and their location also gives you at least some degree of isolation from direct rain, snow and wind. If you need more ventilation, and the elements aren't an immediate factor, unzip the front of the jacket and you can choose between the two for whatever works best at any given time.
