When you pack your bags for your rafting trip in Patagonia, toss in you’re the North Face Men’s Futaleufu Sandals. These The North Face water sandals have adjustable forefoot, instep, and heel straps to let you tighten them up for whitewater or portaging. SBR rubber padding on the inside of the Futaleufu’s straps helps prevent chafing and hot spots. Vibram soles give you grip on wet and dry rocks alike.

Bottom Line: Sandals that go with the flow without sliding off your feet.

These hiking sandals are sturdy, but if you wear them without socks (as I did) they'll give you blisters. Their soles are also not rough enough to give good traction when going uphill. Basically, they have been a disappointment.

Chafing problems

Bought these recently and have used them for kayaking and casual wear. While I like the design, the straps cut into my feet and have even given my cuts and serious irritation. The only way to stop that is to pad the straps (which I did) but then the fit just wasn't the same. I had such high hopes for these as I am a big TNF fan but these were a waste, for me at least.
