Description

Feel the free-flowing breeze as you hike up the ridge.

Because staying cool and dry in the winter weather is just as important as staying warm, you wear The North Face Women's Freedom LRBC Pant with its snow-proof, breathable shell and effective venting system. Hiking up a ridge or skinning all morning can create a lot of heat in your legs, but this pant's Chimney Venting system uses angled vents and outer thigh vents to keep the fresh air moving.

  • Stretchy shell with a waterproof breathable HyVent 2L membrane and fully taped seams ensures moisture protection
  • Thermoliner helps to keep your warmth inside but isn't too hot during long sunny laps or hikes
  • Low-rise fit and articulated knees match your ski stance so your pants don't catch on your knees when you lay into your turns
  • StretchVent leg gaiters with gripper elastic fit over ski boots but also feature Chimney Venting system vents
  • Chimney Venting system draws air in from the ankles and channels it over your legs and out the zippered mesh side thigh vents for ultimate cooling on the mountain
  • Belt loops and adjustable hook-and-loop tabs ensure the pant doesn't fall down when you practice your Gelande skills
  • Pants lock with compatible jackets from The North Face (sold separately) for a seamless barrier against deep snow
  • Zip hand pockets and a cargo pocket hold on-mountain necessities without letting moisture into your inner layers
  • Reinforced cuffs withstand kicks from ski edges and gravel parking lot strolls

I wear a size 6 in pants. How do they run for size? The small is not available. Do you think the medium will work?

I think you'd be on the tight end of a small or the looser end of a medium. This pant is cut pretty slim for a snow pant, so if I were you and I had to pick one or the other and both were in stock, I'd go medium, so I think you'll likely fit the pair we have in stock.

Northface never fails in quality or performance. These pants are perfect for snow sports. I use them for cross country skiing and snow shoeing. Medium fit as a medium should. Thin enough to not feel or look like the michelin man. Highly recommended.

Returned them - was looking for x country ski pants for some reason thought these were flexible, good for walking, x country - they're not. They are definately stiff exterior more like downhill ski pants with a wide bottom. So I returned them.

Bought these last minute for a trip that I was taking to Park City, Utah. They fit incredibly well and were so, so comfortable. They kept me warm and the adjustable waist and flexibility of the material made it easy to maneuver while skiing. I highly recommend these!

I've used these pants for about 3 years and they're still working great. The only issue I have with them is that they get pretty wet by the end of the day.... Which is annoying as a snowboarder because I have to sit sometimes haha so I end up layering a lot underneath. But other than that, good pants!

Try washing them in Nikwax for Goretex revival. I do this every year. I've had these pants for nearly 10 years. Was thinking about a new pair, and may just buy another. The older model is higher waisted and is a big large for me, so I am hoping the newer version of this pant will fit better.

Love these pants! Perfect sizing, and stylish/feminine. The Blue is amazing and bright, and the pants water resistant and comfortable. Worth the $!

The pant was incredible. I highly recommend it. The weather was freezing and it never stopped snowing and I always was very warm and never got wet. Also when I fell skiing, I never got wet. If I had to buy another pant, I would definitely buy the same one.

The things you need to know:
(1) These are shell pants. NO excess bulk, no down fill, no MC Hammer poofy pants. Slim, shell pants. There is a liner, so you get minimal warmth, but absolutely no bulk.
(2) These are a VERY flattering fit. You get a nice waist-line, tighter on the thighs -- you look like a chick. Bomb.
(3) Tech aspects are prime: you get thigh zips for lap days under Sierra sun, totally waterproof, snug gaiters, the snap/velcro combo keeps the pants on your waist where you want them.
(4) Perfect number of pockets. You can stash a lift beer if you want, but you're not weighed down with excess pockets.

A side note: the blue color is bright. Very nice color. If you can rip, rock the blues. Flashy.
