Feel the breeze as you hike up the ridge.

Because staying cool and dry in the winter weather is just as important as staying warm, you wear The North Face Women's Freedom LRBC Pant. Hiking up a ridge or skinning all morning can create a lot of heat, but this pant's Chimney Venting system uses mesh by the ankle gaiters and inner thigh zips to keep the fresh air cycling through. They're made with waterproof HyVent fabric and are fully seam taped to keep out moisture, with a relaxed fit and cargo pocket for a touch of style. A kick patch and scuff guards reduce slices and holes from edges, crampons, and parking-lot walking, and show everyone that you're an earn-your-turns ripper, not a gondola-riding ski bunny.

  • 2-layer HyVent nylon oxford fabric
  • Fully taped seams
  • Chimney Venting system
  • Kick patch and scuff guards
  • StretchVent ankle gaiters

solid buy

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 0' 0"
    Weight: 0 lbs

These are great, but the bottoms are a little large...definitely more or a snowboarding pant, rather than a ski pant! Good warmth, good fabric...highly recommend purchasing.

Disappointed because of the bottoms

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large

The pants fit great until the bottom. The flare is WAY bigger than expected. There is no way you could walk without the bottoms knocking against each other. The picture is deceiving. I ordered these and the Patagonia Insulated Snowbelle Pants (which seemed to have a larger leg opening in the picture) hoping one would work out. I was pleasantly surprised with the Patagonia pants as they seemed more bootcut than flare. Don't get these pants unless you love mega flared bottoms. Other than that, they seem great.

Bell bottom blues

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large

Got these for the wife sight unseen after many many review comparisons, questions, and product comparisons. Fit big and way too much bell bottom. Never tried them on-mountain so they might be great pants but not what she was looking for...

Too Baggy

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large

I'm a 5'4 105 lb petite girl, and the small fit way too baggy for me. Maybe I just have skinny legs but I'm returning these for something else.

Confused on pricing. It is advertised as 65% off and $48.88. Then when you pick a color and size it changed it back to $139.95. Doesn't seem to matter what color/size combo I pick, it still says its the higher price.
Is this just false advertising? Or am I doing something wrong?

What browser are you on? I'm not seeing any discounted version of this pant here... These are this year's model, all listed at $139.95. Sounds like a tech glitch! Sorry about that!

Great Pants!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Fantastic fit, not bulky at all, just warm, dry, and comfortable.

The best part, though, is the expanded sizes. I usually go up a size for length, so x-small/long is something I'd like to see become a trend.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

awesome and not constricting at all. The only flaw is that my pair have started wearing in the knee and has threads hanging off everywhere, but I also ski/instruct close to everyday. Only wish they had more color options!

Waterproof snowpants!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

I recently bought these snow pants prior to a four-day ski trip. I'm far from being an expert skier and found myself on the ground quite often. That being said, I was very impressed with these pants- they kept my legs warm and DRY! I took a star off because as thrilled as I was that the leg was long enough (I'm 5'9"), the waist is a bit snug.

How do the sizes correspond to numbered sizes? I'm a 4 and I'm not sure if I should order a S or M.

Depending on if you'd like to layer underneath, I'm about 5'5" 125lbs and I would go for a Medium, but if you're smaller than that, I would recommend going with the Small.

Black is Back :)

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Well for me at least..Black is Back. It has been a very long time since I have owned a pair of black ski pants....soo I was in the market..and I have to say..I am super stoked on these pants. I totally anticipated these being too most pants on me. I ordered the obvious for me, xs/short. I'm 5'2" 105 lbs. so naturally I go xs for the most part..pants that have length options are even better :). These fit pretty much perfect. Waist has the slight low rise with tabs to adjust, love em'! , the length is perfect, burly material. Overall, these are super sweet..again for me, fit fit fit woohoo :) , now I want more colors :))
