    Freedom lies in being bold.

The North Face Women's Freedom LRBC Insulated Pant might inspire you to ski down harder hills or even take on the backcountry this season. HyVent equips this two-layer shell with reliable waterproof breathable protection, and fully taped seams enhance waterproofing by preventing a single snowflake from seeping through. Heatseeker offers highly compressible and extremely durable lightweight warmth.

The Freedom's relaxed fit allows layers for winter's cold days, full mobility for the utmost skiing performance, and a women-specific design with flared legs for feminine fashion. The North Face's Chimney Venting system uses long zippers at each inner thigh for sufficient airflow. StretchVent gaiters keep snow out of your boots with hooks and gripper elastics, adjustable tabs secure the waist, and reinforced edge guards ensure longevity.

    Bell bottoms

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Agree with a previous reviewer who said these don't look like the picture. These are very wide at the ankles and fit like bell bottoms. Cannot imagine them being practical on the slopes as a result.

    Not like the picture

    • Size Bought: Medium/short

Got these pants because they offer a medium short. I am only 5'1" and struggle with too much pant. Got them and they are good for length but way too much pant. Baggy in the bottom, huge bell bottom (not as pictured) and I hate zip vents in the crotch area. Yuck! Could somebody please make a pant that works for small women who want to stay warm???

    Good pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL

Just used for 6 days in Yellowstone at temps ranging from -10 to 20 F. Pant performed well. Definitely need a few layers underneath when extreme cold. Longs are VERY long. I am 5' 10

    Awesome snowboard pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'm 5'5 125 and I ordered a small Reg. Took them for the first ride of the season and they are GREAT! Kept me dry and warm all day. The fit is perfect! Highly recommend these ones! I love them so much I ordered the urban navy too!

    LOVE THE LENGTH

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium long

I would highly recommend these super warm ski pants for anyone looking for a longer length. The length was a perfect fit and this style allows you to adjust the size through the waist. I will definitely be buying another pair in a different color.

    Best fitting pants

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: xs/short

My Freedom LRBC Insulated ski pants just arrived. the color
coastal fjord blue is what I would call periwinkle blue. The fit is wonderful. the short is a bit long but with ski boots they should be perfect. the waist was just a bit big, which was easily corrected with the adjustable waist tabs. YEAH!!!!! From the knee down they do appear a bit bell bottomish, I think that will be better with ski boots also.
I wear a size 0/short in Tommy Hilfiger and a size 2 short in Ann Taylor jeans.
My advise to all small girls looking for great fitting ski pants at a amazing price is get these while you can!!!!!
looking forward to trying them out in Big Sky in a couple of weeks.

    Sizing is a bit big

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Medium

These pants are a great color in the teal, and plenty warm! I bought these as a Christmas gift for a friend who is 5 foot 8 and about 130 pounds and got a medium. The length was great, as she frequently has pants too short on her, but they were a bit baggy in the hips and crotch area. However , overall the fit was still great and she loves them.

    Perfect Length

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small-Long

These snow pants cover my whole ski boot without a problem! They are nice and long. I've been searching for years for a snow pant that wouldn't rise on my ski boot. People often forget you gain a couple inches when you put your ski boots on. For jeans, I'd be more like a regular length, but snow pants, because of this factor, am a long. The hip/waist area fits very snug as these snow pants are "true to size." So,if you want a little extra room, I suggest ordering a size up, while keeping the desired length.

    Sizing poor

The sizing on these seems off and narrow compared to a previous pair of these I purchased several years ago. I have both pairs and side by side, they may be different sizes but they fit the same. The actual pants are enormous on these as well. They may keep me warm but the weird fit just isn't worth it. Moving onto a different brand.

      Ready for what winter brings!!

      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Sm short

Was happy to find these pants in a short inseam. As a petite lady the short length is great .. A little baggy yet it allows room for layers underneath and ease of movement. I planed on purchasing them last year yet realized everyone else had the same idea too late. Luv the reinforced seams and the extra pockets hold those little incidentals to keep you easily mobile.. Focusing on enjoying whatever outdoor recreation you choose. They are a little pricy.. Yet you get what you pay for and the north face lifetime warranty sealed the deal for me. Don't wait until the short inseam is sold out.. Winter will be here before you know it. Glad I'm ready. Snow.. Bring it on !!

      Nice Color, Sadly too big

      • Size Bought: Medium

Like many others have said, these pants run quite a bit large. Sadly, I returned them for that reason. Otherwise, they appear to be made well and would have kept me nice and toasty on the lifts.

Pretty good pants, but sort of baggy

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: Runs large
      • Size Bought: L

I tried these pants at a local store before ordering them. The store had a M and XL but no L so I ended up ordering here. The M were a bit too snug for me and the XL felt like space suit pants so I figured the L would fit well. I have a pear shaped body (I need size 6 / Petite M tops but 8/L bottoms). So I ordered these in L. But they are a bit too baggy. I expected them to fit a bit more snug after layering up with a fleece and thermal pants, but they're still a bit loose. Not a complete deal breaker though (since I like the green color I ordered them in -> matches my helmet). Just thought I'd warn potential buyers with these details.
fwiw, my waist is 29 and hips are 41in. Inseam 32-33 (depends on shoes).
These pants are alright on the leg length, but lose on my waist and hips (even with the strap tied to the tightest).

The fabric and quality is solid yet stylish. I'm keeping these (they're my first real ski pants, started skiing this season and have had a dozen ski days in make shift North Face goretex rain pants!)

      Top Notch product!!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: small

These pants are AMAZING!! I upgraded from my very first pair of snow pants to these Northface freedoms and i'm in love! The fit is spot on...I ordered a size Small. I am 5'5 120 and they fit perfectly with just the right amount of give to move around comfortably on the mountain. I am athletically built and the pants fit nice and relaxed without being too tight anywhere. Perfect amount of room for a base layer if needed, but they are lined and warm enough to wear by themselves on warmer days. The pants also have velcro tabs at the waist to tighten or loosen accordingly. These pants are a MUST HAVE if your looking for a new pair!

      Fantastic Ski Pants

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: XL

These pants are amazing. Skied 6 days and washed them. They show no signs of wear at all. I purchased the XL - I am 5'6 and 160 with small waist and larger hips. These fit me great with room to spare. The ability to adjust the waist worked perfect for me. The length was great with walking or ski boots and the zippered thighs to let the heat out was perfect. Highly recommend these pants!

      Exactly what I needed

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Medium

I was in need of long snow pants for my first time skiing (I am 6'1" and 160 lbs). These definitely held up through all of my falls (which there were many) and no tears in the pants after the falls. They kept me nice and warm too. And I was happy that they were long enough. Overall these were worth the money. I did go on Northface's website to figure out my size which helped out quite a bit. I would definitely recommend these

Love my Northface freedom pants. I am a very outdoorsy girl. Skiing (downhill and cross-country), snowshoeing , sliding, hiking all winter. I live in Northwestern Ontario Canada where the temperatures in the winter are -20 to -45. I have put these to test and love them. I am muscular and find I have room to move and be active in these without being constricted. I find I am warm and toasty in them as well. Stylish so you don't look like a marshmallow.Perfect gear for my active lifestyle with a good price range. YAY Northface!

Girlfriend learned how to ski with these

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Medium

My girlfriend wanted to learn how to ski, so she needed some insulated snow pants. These fit very well! The Velcro waist straps were awesome because she could adjust them to fit her exactly. They were plenty long, and she was excited about the cuffed inner layer that she could tuck into her ski boots. There were plenty of vents in case she got too warm, but she said that they kept her perfectly warm. Excellent buy!
