You shouldn’t have to give up low-rise, boot-cut style just ‘cause you’re on the slopes. The North Face made the Women’s Freedom Insulated Boot-Cut Pant for gals who love to rip but aren’t into the high-waist ski-pant look.

  • HyVent 2L fabric and fully taped seams block wetness
  • 100%-Recycled Heatseeker Eco insulation adds warmth
  • Chimney Venting System uses exterior thigh vents and gaiter vents to create airflow and dump excess heat

Bottom Line: Bring your favorite pant style to the slopes.

Good all mountain ski pant!

By:
August 1, 2010

It's the end of ugly ski pants! I did a lot of spring skiing last season and wore these pants from March until June through sun and snowstorms. They're a midweight pant and aren't too bulky. With a pair of running tights underneath they were perfect on the groomers and I stayed warm and dry all day. The thigh vents are sweet for warmer days and the cargo pocket is good sized. These pants have a lower waist than it looks like in the photo and fit like a boot cut pant, but aren't so low in the back that you get snow down your pants. They fit me well in the waist but are a little tight through the hips and thighs but I still have a good range of motion. I'm 5'11" and the long is just long enough, which is a miracle!

WAY too big

By:
January 6, 2010

The pants, overall, are cute... sturdy and functional... BUT they run VERY large. I am 5'6", 125, size 4-6. I ordered a medium but they were falling off of me. Thank god I ordered a back-up. Check out the Spyder Circuit. I'm keeping those - great fit (size 6) and SO warm!

I have these pants too, and they are totally true to size. I am between a size 4 and 6, which makes me a small. I ordered a small and they fit perfectly. Your pants are too big because you ordered the wrong size. M is an 8-10 by industry standards.

Perfect Ski Pant

By:
December 27, 2009

This ski pant is perfect for me. Medium Weight, not bulky, VERY warm. Love the velcro waist tabs. Plenty of Pockets. I was on a lift, high winds, heavy heavy snow conditions, extremely cold (my guage said zero w/o windchill factor) and my legs were quite toasty. They run big. definately go for the smaller size. I originally ordered XL, returned for L. I could have afforded a medium for a "snug" fit, but I prefer a loose fit since I snowboard.

Great Fit and Color!

By:
April 21, 2010

I purchased these pants a couple of months ago and the fit was great! I wasn't expecting such a great fit, but they definitely don't make you luck bulky and held up great in 3 feet of powder! I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a less baggy/bulky ski pant!

Beautiful Fit and Superior Comfort

By:
March 19, 2010

These pants fit so well and did not feel at all bulky like some ski/snowboard pants can. I had to still wear my thermals underneath these but that was more than adequate in 29c weather and did not feel the cold at all on my legs all day. They kept me dry and warm plus they look good, what more could you ask for!

Your search is over!!!!!!!!

These snow/ski pants are GREAT/AWESOME! I am short & thick, so it was a mission to find the right pants that fit perfectly. These sit low @ the waist & the style is bootcut/wideleg. I totally love them. They fit great on the waist & in length. I had to order Petite & they fit perfectly. Very worth it. Thanks Viviana

At last a pair for the tall girls.....

By:
March 9, 2010

Great function and style. It's not easy to find both when you're six feet tall with a 33 inch inseam. I took these pants with me to Zurich when I was skiing in the Alps. They worked well getting to the slopes, on the slopes and after the slopes. Warm, comfortable, dry and a perfect fit for my hard to fit body. the length was exactly what I was looking for. Throw on a pair of leggins underneath and you can play all day. I luv North Face.

Highly Recommended

By:
February 13, 2010

I've used these pants in windy and icy new england and out west in the deep pow. They performed great, held up well, and stayed dry. The North Face really got it right with the insulation. I only wore a thin wool layer and was never cold (and never too warm). You will have room to move but they are not baggy. Biggest selling point for me was they come in a short length so I didn't have to try and find somewhere to hem them.

Solid Ski Pant

By:
February 8, 2010

Super comfy, very warm, good cut, not bulky or stiff, rise is lower than most womens pants. I like them a lot.

They do fit big - but the velcro waist tabs snug things up enough for me - I like a loose fit. They are very long - I have trouble finding pants that are long enough for me, and these have a few inches to spare with ski boots on. I'm 5'8, 165 XL. Could go to a L.

Great Pants!

By:
December 18, 2009

Yes, a little pricey but very well made and more comfortable than most snow pants. It's hard to find them in petite lengths so I was disappointed that they were still too long. However, they can be easily shortened. Love the big pocket.

You get what you pay for

By:
September 19, 2009

I found them to be a little expensive, but the style is great. They're comfortable and warm. I love them.

And the cargo pocket on the the right thigh is perfect for carrying large items...no need to carry a purse with these pants!

The only problem I had with these pants was that they run a little big for the size...I had to return my small for an xtra-small.
