Dazzle the peeps on the lift with your mad carving skills and the streamlined North Face Women’s Fontaine Jacket—no gal likes to feel as if she’s swimming in her ski gear. A performance stretch fit gives you plenty of unrestricted movement when you dodge clueless boarders or a ski school snake.

  • HyVent 2L stretch waterproof breathable fabric and fully taped seams fight wetness and add flexibility
  • 80g Recycled polyester insulation adds a bit of eco-friendly warmth without bulk
  • Powder skirt blocks snow and snaps back for trips downtown
  • Lycra cuffs bridge gap between jacket sleeves and gloves
  • Stretchy satin lining makes it easy to slip the Fontaine over layers
  • RECCO reflector may aid ski patrol in the event of a slide
  • Buddy lift clip holds your pass or ticket

Bottom Line: You’ll get more than a few appreciative hoots and hollers from the chairlift crowd.

Is this jacket short? I'm 5'8 and 125 lbs and have a problem finding both coats and pants that fit comfortably. In fact, I feel like I am a "tweener" size. In between small and medium, not quite either. Love the color but wanna love the fit. Also, the part that zips by your face, is it soft? I live in Winter Park, CO and have some amazing powder days that sometimes require zipping up :) If anyone has some input I'd love to know how this coat fits :)

I just bought this coat for my wife, she is 5'9" and 135 lbs. She has a big torso. The Medium fit her great, and she can fit a down jacket underneath it for layering if needed. If you want the jacket to come down a little below your waist and you have normal/long arms, I would go with the medium.

Just bought this coat for my wife. She is 5'9" and 135 lbs. She bought the Medium. She really likes how it has an athletic fit and isn't baggy. It shows off her figure which is a good thing. She can fit a down jacket underneath it for layering. The green color is really nice in person as well. She is happy, so I am happy! Great coat. I like how the seams are all taped and I think it will do great in nasty weather.

GREAT women's fitted jacket and NOT bulky!

By:

I love love this jacket. I stayed on the phone for about 45 minutes with a guy named Shane at backcountry and we kept coming back to it so i got it. It is lightweight but very, very warm. I wore it with a long underwear fitted top and a fitted north face fleece under it and i was set. I skied about 4-5 hours a day in about -10 to 15 degree temps in Aspen and was comfortable. All pockets are easy to access with gloves. I also like that you can see that i have a figure underneath it:) Thanks so much for the pick, Shane!
