Thumbs down to flux

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

I bought this fleece hoping that it would become one of my top favorite fleeces. It was soft, stretchy, layered well: on paper it looked great. Nope. Not at all. This fleece is so thick for being an aerobic activity intended piece, doesn't breathe, doesn't wick, and the fit drives me bonkers! Basically, unless you're not moving and are 5'10", this fleece does not even remotely qualify to be part of The North Face Summit Series. The second you start moving in this fleece, your sweat beads up and soaks the fleece (even with a base layer!). It gets stinky right off the bat and stays smelly. It seems like a vanity piece - hugs my lady curves, gives me a long torso, and the fabric is very complimentary to any body type. But... that's not what it's intended for. I've tried so hard to like this piece, but the only thing I use it for now is a belay jacket when I'm climbing inside.

Warm Comfy Fleece

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I wear this around the SF Bay Area for our winter days. The sleeves are long...NorthFace should have turned them into thumb holes. It's a warm fleece but definitely not by itself. You'll need jacket to break the wind. Very cute and form fitting though. I would like it to zip up higher to cover more of my neck but that's just my preference. I really like this fleece (even if i paid full retail price -.-)

Great Fleece

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I bought this for my girlfriend and she loves it. It is true to size, but the sleeves are a bit long. Its not warm enough to be a stand-alone winter jacket but great for layering and definitely warm enough for late fall weather.
