Slip into something a little more comfortable with The North Face’s Flux Power Stretch ¼-Zip Fleece Pullover. The North Face’s recipe for this fleece pullover includes a heavy dose of the highly versatile Polartec Power Stretch fabric, which provides stretch, breathability, and warmth with minimal weight. The fleece’s exterior is durable, rugged, and wind resistant, while the interior offers the classically soft and comfortable feel of fleece fuzz.

  • Stretch fleece is lightweight, packable, and provides insulating warmth
  • Napoleon-style chest pocket—because holding on to things in your hand for hours on end is just annoying
  • Alpine fit means you can layer under this fleece and pull a shell on top when the temperature drops and storms move in
  • Summit Series design means it’s made for athletic pursuits in harsh environments

Bottom Line: Fluxible fleece.

well worth the change

To start with I have three TNF pullovers, they are absolutely solid. I live in central Indiana and to be honest I wear this almost more by itself than I do my tri-climate coat. This pullover is extremely top of the line in the internal temp control area. If you get warm just unzip the 1/4 zip a bit to notice the right amount of temp change. Another good quality about this is the fabric. The first time I wore it I pulled up the sleeves. I was worried that I had stretched the cuff later on. However about an hour after pulling down sleeves the cuffs were as good as new. Once again TNF has out done themselves with another great product.

The North Face Flux Power Stretch

Great pullover. The med. size was right on the money for me. I have worn the pullover multiple times while skiing and it regulates my temp. perfectly no matter what the weather. Love The North Face gear, highly recommended. Love Back Country.

Excellent shirt

It's warmer than regular fleece and stretches with movement. It is great for any type of outdoor activity and can be worn as an insulating layer for skiing or snowboarding. It is a little expensive though for a 100 weight fleece shirt.

Great baselayer in the winter

By:
February 4, 2011

I bought this as an under layer for my Apex in the winter. However, I've been wearing it all spring and loving it! It's warm but moves excess heat away from my body like a champ and that's something coming from a guy who can get hot fast! It has a very soft inner lining and the abrasion resistant exterior stands up to the test. I have run into bushes and doors and there is not one pulled thread! This is a must for cool days and excellent under a soft shell for the very cold mornings and winter days.

The North Face Flux Power Stretch

By:
October 23, 2010

I’ve had this jacket for about a year and haven’t used it enough for a review but this morning I just went on a 8 mile trail run with it and I think I can give a fair review now. In southern California you never know what the weather is going to be like. Last week it was in the 90’s all week the within one day it turned 50 degrees and stayed cloudy and drizzly all week. That’s why these light weight jackets are perfect for California weather. This morning had some storm clouds so I took my venture jacket just in case it started to rain. Sure enough while I was on my run it did start to sprinkle but I thought I would just go with it, I love this weather anyway and I thought it would be a good chance to see how the jacket holds up. The North Face Flux kept me warm but I did not over heat. It’s water repellent enough to have kept me dry the entire time, not sure how it would hold up in a down poor but it held up in a heavy sprinkle just fine. It has a nice athletic fit so your not messing with a bunch of extra material dragging you down. The jacket is nice and flexible, perfect if you need to climb some boulders on the way. It vents well and keeps you from getting to warm. The only con is the sleeve length. For some reason North Face jackets tend to have longer sleeve length than most. The size is a good fit, and even though it’s a slim fit jacket the XL size still fit me nicely. All in all a great versatile jacket well worth the price.
