The North Face Women's Flash Down Jacket packs the high-loft insulation you need to stay toasty warm on a backcountry ski rest stop or ice climbing belay. Incredibly warm 900-fill down provides cozy insulation without making the Flash Jacket too puffy, so you can wear it as a mid layer when climbing, hiking, or skiing in extreme cold. A unique baffle-stitching pattern gives this jacket a unique look, and The North Face gave it soft polyester lining to make it as comfortable as possible. Best of all, this down jacket weights only 12oz, so you won't even notice the weight as you rack up the vert this winter.
Bottom Line: Fight the brutal chill of winter with The North Face Flash Down Jacket's 900-fill insulation.
At first when I saw this jacket I thought it was a little to shiny, but it grew on me and I really love it and pretty much wear it everyday. It's really comfortable and doesn't get too warm, but with the 900 fill, it can keep you really warm when you need it to.
I really like this jacket because it is warm, but light. The 900 down fill is super warm but not overbearing. I really like the two side zip pockets because stuff doesn't fall out of them when I ski. The collar is pretty high and has a fleece lining that actually pretty soft. This down jacket can definatley handle cold weather.

Aside from the styling, which I found too shiny and sleek for my liking, the fit of this jacket was much smaller than other North Face jackets I have. Although it is touted as warm, warm, warm, I walked around the house in it and was cold, cold, cold. I returned this item.
I love my new jacket. I was a little apprehensive to get this one at first, afraid it was a little too 'shiny'. But I love the look, fit and warmth. And I have received several compliments on it.
warm, VERY light, not bulky. i thought the sizes ran a little big (i was happy that i went down from the size i usually wear). you will not regret this purchase.
This jacket is everything I needed it to be: light, warm, compact. The down-side...it does leak feathers, continuously. It could also be improved with a DWR water-resistant coating.
I bought this coat for both my daughter and my daughter in law. They found it to be the most comfortable coat they have ever owned. The V shaped styling made it flattering for those who wanted to look slimmer. The girls have gotten some teasing for having the same coat (different color) but we weren't able to find another 900 fill jacket. We traveled at Christmas and the 1 lb. coat fit nicely in a large purse. All three of us recommend this coat highly and I only wish I had one for myself!
good points: light weight, nice style, great fit, kept you warm. bad points: the material is not strong enough to keep the feathers in, 900 counts and counting down!
Every time I wear this jacket I get lots of compliments however I was really disappointed on how light the flash jacket was, it was advertised as a 900 down fill but was really light and not as warm as the 600 down fill of the Tamba-Kosi which is much heavier and warmer. A little high priced for such a light jacket!
This is such a great jacket. the fill is super warm without adding bulk, and the fit couldn't be better. very slimming but still plenty of room to move. I've been wearing it all over town and pretty much can't take it off!
This jacket is so warm and cozy and the different stitching keeps it interesting. It's way light and great for layering on cold days on the mountain or chilly walks around town. Truly wonderful =)
Very nice jacket. Great fit, very warm qwithout being puffy. This is part of North Faces' "Flight Series" and the material is a bit on the shiny side. Wonderful jacket.
This jacket rocks! It's the perfect weight for almost anything. When it's a bit warmer, it doesn't overheat you and when it's a bit colder, it keeps you warm. It goes with everything - ski pants or a skirt. I love the fit, it flatters the figure. The lining is soft on your chin if you zip it up all the way and fits like a gem. I recommend it for everyone.
The North Face Flash jacket is as warm as puffy down jackets, without all the bulk. It has a trim fit and is really lightweight so it works well as an insulation layer as well as by itself. The fabric is shimmery, giving it a unique look that's a little fancier than your average down jacket.
