Prepare for any conditions at all with The North Face Women’s Femtech Tri-Climate Jacket. This three-in-one jacket’s tough waterproof shell contains a zip-out insulating liner you’ll want to leave in on the coldest days. But on warmer ski days, use the shell without the liner—or wear the liner without the shell on dry days in town. Pockets on both layers store small items within easy reach, and a lift pass clip helps you sail through the lift line with ease.
This coat keeps me very warm on the top of Colorado mountains and has the flexibility to keep me snug with only the shell or liner while watching fall cross country meets. It might be snug by the arm pits but usually is less the more the wear it. It is so stylish with the red zipper and cool buttons by the hood. BUY IT
Of all of the North Face Triclimate jackets, which do you recommend for a climb like Kilimanjaro? (The packing list says "well below freezing plus wind). Thanks.

Yes you can, most North Face Liners will zip in to this jacket. However if you still aren't sure feel free to hit us up were happy to clarify any questions.
I am in love with this jacket. I got the purple color and was worried about the shade, but it's a great purple. The jacket inside is really cute too. I wish it was a bit more fitted at the waist, but I have that problem with everything since I am busty. I am 5'5" 135 and the medium fit perfectly through the arms, shoulders, bust and back. I love all the little details. I haven't tried it outside yet, but will update my review once I do some field-testing. It's a little stiff, but I think it will soften up with some wear.
I bought this according to other reviews of this jacket in quite a hurry because I was going to Yellowstone the following week.
I had no problem with the wind chill in Yellowstone at all when I was wearing this jacket (the outer layer + a northface fleece jacket inside). Since this jacket has two layers and they can be taken apart, it's really versatile.
When you feel hot in the armpits, you can zip down the armpit zips (although zipping it up again is quite a pain. I had to ask sb else to zip up for me). There are two magnetic buttons on top of the jacket, which is absolutely awesome; they are well put so that they can attach easily.
Unlike other north face jackets, you don't have to worry that your scarf will stick to the velcro of this. Pockets are another plus (now all of mine are full with coins from change)
Conclusion: this is not a bad jacket and I bought it when backcountry.com was having a sale so the price was decent. I bought the purple one and I am really satisfied with my purchase. It's also fun playing around with all the pockets
This is a great winter jacket. It looks exactly like it does in the photos. All of the zippers and pockets are amazing. One thing, it does fit slightly tight around the mid-section. Sleeves are plenty long. Too bad North Face doesn't ship to Canada..I had to have it sent to a family member then she shipped it to me, but it was worth the small hassle.
Love this jacket! The color is perfect and I was glad to see that the liner was more gray than white. That way it will look nice even being around my 4 little boys. I ended up getting the XL so that I could wear sweaters under it, and I still have plenty of room. I am 5'9" and have problem with the length on sleeves, but this jacket is long enough in the arms and the waist. I love that when I put my arms up or even when I am driving that the sleeves have plenty of length. The North Face has gotten the lengths on their products just right. This coat also keeps me very warm in the Iowa winters. I am also excited that I will get great use out of it this spring too. This jacket will be around for a long time. The checks on this jacket are very subtle, but I have gotten many complements on the color and pattern.
I bought this jacket to wear skiing as well as out and about in the cold New England winters. It is a great looking jacket and the pockets are well placed and useful. I wish it were a little warmer, however, you can buy other Northface zip in compatable layers to exchange in and out of the shell. I have used it skiing and out in snow, rain and bitter cold. It keeps me dry and with layers under warm. I got the large, eventhough I am usually a medium for more room for layers. The sleves are a bit long but the rest fits great. I love the color and have had many compliments on this jacket. The hood is also a great size and fits well over my ski helmet. Overall, I am very happy with this jacket.
