Waterproofness
Is this jacket 100% waterproof, or is it waterproof/breathable with a certain degree of hard downpoor it can sustain? I intend to use it both for skiing and hiking in wet cold conditions

Hi.
Its waterproof / breathable rather, so i wouldn't exactly say this is 100% waterproof. HyVent is the same fabric technology used for TNF's rainjackets like the Venture jacket. But from your "hard downpour" requirements you might want to look at Gore-Tex standards instead?
