Works great if you simply leave your phone behind, too.

The North Face equipped the Women’s Etip Facet Glove with a touchscreen-friendly liner glove, so you don’t need to strip down to bare skin when you want to text your whereabouts on the mountain to the rest of your group. An insulated, waterproof breathable outer shell glove warms up your hand once you’ve finished your electronic business and are ready to get down to carving some turns.
  • Women-specific 5-Dimensional fit ensures a non-bulky fit
  • HyVent membrane in outer glove keeps your hand dry in wet, stormy weather
  • Targeted insulation (more on back of hand, less in palm) balances mobility with warmth
  • Storm Door cuff gasket keeps out snow and drafts

improve liners

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought these especially because of the liners with the touch screen tips. That part of the liners is great, I do wish they would have put just a little bit of gripper on the liners because you can use the touch screen tips, but with no grippers whatsoever it is very hard to hold your phone with these liners. Not sure that I could safely use them while on a ski lift. I would be afraid the phone would slip out of my hand. Just a little bit of gripper on the liners would have made a big difference. And MegP is right, they really pill badly.

Pretty Good

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Unfortunately I haven't had many chances to wear these gloves, not from lack of snow, but from lack of getting out in it! I like the touchscreen fingertips for sure! As for warmth, they've been fine for me, but I haven't been out for extended periods of time yet.

Great concept

E tip works great, but liners pill badly and really aren't very warm. They are fine on mild days but my hands were cold in both sets of gloves in really cold mountain conditions.

Responded on

You are correct abt the pilling, it was disappointing.

Really works

The e-tip works really well. I am excited to be able to answer my phone with out having cold hands. :)
