What an eminently good idea: a jacket that insulates just as well on the mountain as it does on your grocery run. The North Face Women's Eminent Jacket combines fluffy TKA 300 fleece with stretchy elastane mesh to offer you a balance of warmth and mobility. The Napoleon chest pocket and hand pockets store your day's necessities, but the hidden bonus is the key slot built in the hand pocket, which saves you from endlessly fishing for the car key when it's 20 degrees outside.
My daughter borrowed the jacket and must be allergic to the sleeve material. She has worn fleece before but for some reason this one bothered her. I love the jacket, but it tends to be full of static.
My daughter wanted a Northface jacket that was not bulky or too heavy for Christmas. This jacket is both. She says it is extremely warm, yet doesn't hinder her movements. She loves it!

This is a terrific jacket in many ways -- color is as depicted, lovely shape to the body (makes you look narrow unlike the Denali), perfect sleeve and body length. But the chest pocket doesn't curve with the body and on A-cup me, sticks out to the side uncomfortably -- not an issue on the roomier Denali. I'll stick with my Denali and Khumbu.
I ordered this jacket and eagerly awaited its arrival for about 2 weeks. When the jacket came I tried it on and was super excited because it fits very well. Unfortunately, I went upstairs for about ten minutes and when I came back down my small dog had pulled the jacket off the dining room table and chewed a hole in it big enough to pit your head through. I was horrified and afraid that I was out $100, but luckily I called the customer service number and was shocked to learn that backcountry.com is replacing my jacket! Not only that, but Ben (cust. service rep on the phone) was amazing and very nice. Backcountry isn't even making me wait to get the new jacket- they immediately shipped the new one (3 day!) and in the mean time i have 10 days to send the chewed one back. I can't believe how lucky I am to have chosen backcountry for this purchase. Please- everyone order from this place!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
I'm struggling between this jacket and TNF Pumori jacket. I've noticed that there aren't any reviews and the information is kind of short. I am looking for a fleece jacket to wear into work that isn't super bulky like my heavy winter coat. I only have a short distance from the car to the hospital so I would just like something to take the chill off. What is the main difference between these coats and which do you think would be best?
The main differences are the fleece weight and the pockets (not much, I know). Personally, I like this jacket more. It looks better in my opinion and has a heavier material for the same price as the Pumori. And for this price, you can't beat it.
I am so pleased with my purchase. This is an excellent jacket that is designer quality and economical in price. Keeps you warm and looks fashionable. Jacket fits true to size, so if you wear your jackets a little more loose, order the next size up. The sleeves also have a little-extra length. I would buy this jacket again!
Very flattering fit, I am 5'10 and the sleeves and body are plenty long for me. I bought a large (for sleeve length) but may have been able to waer a medium. It is warm, not as warm as the Denali, but a much better fit. I would buy again
