The North Face Women's Elixir Jacket takes on a backcountry storm as easily as a day in the terrain park thanks to waterproof breathable HyVent fabric. This cargo jacket includes four front pockets, two internal pockets, and a sleeve pocket to ensure you have room for all the essentials like snacks or a binding tool. Open up the Elixir Jacket's Underarm zips to stay cool on bluebird rides, or pull up the fully adjustable hood for extra shelter from the storm. The North Face included a RECCO reflector, which may help ski patrol find you in the event of an avalanche.
Bottom Line: The North Face Elixir Jacket has a place for all the small essentials and all the weather protection you need for inbounds or backcountry riding.

I loved this jacket, but I ordered a size Medium and it was WAY too big. Too bad they didn't have a size small left. I had to order it from Bob Wards. The lining is awesome, the fabric is thick and study, there are plenty of pockets, and it's not too heavy. I have 37.5 in. hips and a 25 in. waist and Im 5'2. Hopefully the small will fit better.

It'll keep you dry and block the wind, but it's got no insulation (as you noticed), so it's not warm in and of itself. You'll have to layer. I couldn't find a conversion rating for psi to grams (probably because no one does waterproof ratings in grams), but 25 psi is the government standard for 100% waterproof. You can sit in the most driving rain imaginable for as long as you want in this and won't get wet.

This jacket is dreamy. It is so complete, flexible, pretty, refined, it's a cream puff! Very highly recomended. Never cold, never too warm. My black L size fits so wonderfully. Stocked. It's lovely.

My wife loves how if fits and she says its the warmest jacket she has ever worn. There are a ton of pockets and the hood is detachable.
Is this just a shell? The Tech Specs states Insulation: None Please

TERRIFIC! It is absolutely the best jacket I have EVER owned (and I've dedicated a closet to all of them). It is warm, it is comfortable, and it has style. I love wearing it.
