The North Face made the Electron 12 Backpack with an ultra-breathable suspension system to help you stay cool when you're blazing down a trail in the middle of the summer. Dual-density Airmesh shoulder straps ensure you don't get back to the trailhead with two big, black sweat streaks across your body. Drop your favorite hydration system into The North Face Electron 12 Backpack, stash a few energy bars in the front pocket, and get out for a half-day of hiking or running.

Bottom Line: Go fast, stay cool, bring The North Face Electron 12 Backpack.

I've had this bag for about 3 years now and I've been running/hiking/fly fishing with it pretty much constantly. It's pretty much bombproof. It's fallen about 1400 feet off the side of a cliff in HI without so much as a tear. It's the perfect size for a bladder, rain layer, a couple 20oz klean kanteens (my dog is a constant companion and is too good to carry his own water), a collapsible dog bowl, and a snack. The straps tighten down easily and securely to keep it from bouncing around, even when I just wear a t-shirt. The only thing that can get you is how narrow the straps are at the top of the pack. It causes them to rub the sides of my neck a bit when I run. Not a big deal if you have a collar. I usually just tie each with a piece of paracord and this gives my neck a little more room. You can't pack everything, but for light hikes/runs/single day excursions this thing is ideal.

This bag is awesome for hiking and biking!! Though i do not recommend running with a backpack (which was my original intention for buying this product)because of how uncomfortable it is no matter what type of "sweat proof" tech it features.

The customer service for this site is extremely helpful! especially this chat thing they have. This is honestly the website with the best customer service i have ever encountered. they shipped it extremely fast and helped familiarized me with other outdoor gear! Thank you for your help!

The Electron 12 doesn't have a laptop sleeve. It's designed more for day hikes.

Great for hiking

Got this pack and was immediately impressed on how light weight it was. I'm just using it for short day hikes, so don't need to fit a ton in there. It fit my platypus hydration pack with insulator, as well as some light snacks, which was perfect for me. Very comfortable for hiking
