Description

How's this for versatility? Use The North Face El Cap for ski touring, climbing, backpacking, trail running, hiking, layering in cold climates.

The North Face El Cap Shirt is a versatile moisture wicking layer that's become a classic among mountain enthusiasts. Wear it alone during the summer for early morning hikes and during the winter as the foundation for a complete layering system. The quick drying El Cap keeps you warm by moving moisture away from your skin so it can evaporate without making you cold. When you do want to cool off, the deep zip-front neck provides ample ventilation. Underarm gussets prevent binding and give you an athletic range of motion.

I read the reviews before ordering and had high hopes. I understood from others that these pants ran big, but not true in my case. I didn't quite believe what I read. I usually wear a 4, ordered a 6 and they still were snug. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.

I was so happy to have found this shirt! It is a great fit and has been useful to me in several different situations. It is perfect for casual day at the office and straight to my work out or to a quick hike. Very transitional. LOVE MY SHIRT!

Lightweight (but not too thin, even in white) and flattering fit. Good on its on or for layering. I wear a medium and this was a true fit.

I love this shirt so much that I own it in four different colors, and I'm planning on buying more! I wear it hiking, cycling, running, to the gym, skiing and just running around town. It washes up great, never shrinks and looks great with just about anything. This shirt is a great cover up when its just cold enough out to want to cover your skin, or as a base layer. The fabric doesn't really "breath" but it does seem to pull the sweat away from my skin. I have worn it running in a light rain and hiking in some strong winds (as a base layer) and it kept me warm both times. Im 5'8 and 130 and the small fits me perfect!

I own 10 of these shirts in different colors. I have had some for over 3 years and cannot tell the difference between them and the newer ones. They are comfortable and warm. It's the only shirt I wear when I ski. I wear one everyday for my regular wear in cool and cold weather. I think they are great and good looking on.

I got this for my girlfriend. She loves it! Wears it all the time when she runs, especially now during winter. Said it keeps her warm but allows her skin to breathe at the same time.

I really like this top. The fit is very flattering and slimming. Despite it's light touch, it kept me very warm and comfortable. I love the purple.

I wear these The North Face shirts for golfing because of the UV protection. Great fit, wash & wear, generous sleeve length.

It’s great anywhere, anytime. After reading another review saying how handy the shirt is for travel, I got it. It’s lightweight, easy to roll up in a carry-on, yet comfy and cuddly. It’s super, anyone could use one of these.

I now own five of these shirts! I wear them to hike, run, play golf, run to the store, you name it! They go everywhere and do everything, whether as the only outer layer, or under a vest. These shirts are lightweight, wicking, warming, comfortable, easy to wash, require no drying time or ironing... in a word, perfect!

Wow! This top is amazing. TNF does it again by designing an exceptional piece of clothing cut especially for the ladies. The micro-fiber fabric is stitched in a way that definitely flatters the female torso while keeping you toasty and trim. What more could you ask for?

Fits perfectly, wicks well and maintains surprising warmth for such a lightweight garment. I wore it hiking up Mt. Whitney in July and was comfortable at 45 to 55F (early morning, no wind) with no additional layers. I added a wind-resistant fleece layer at 13,600ft due to shade/breeze, and was toasty all the way to the top.

This is a great shirt. It kept me nice and dry on a long hard hike this past weekend. It fits very comfortably and looks great.

This shirt is very versatile. You can wear it alone hiking in the summer, or as a base layer under your fleece while skiing in the winter. It’s also super breathable and light enough to be worn running and moving around a lot. Get the red color, and you'll never get lost from your friends. Bottom line: don’t leave home without it.

This shirt from North Face is much more comfortable than my Capilene shirt from Patagonia. I find myself wearing it around the house, seemingly everyday. Best base layer I've ever worn. Excellent under a sweater for those colder wintry days.

I love this shirt. I mostly wear on trail runs, where I find that it does wick/breathe well. I have long arms and for once the sleeves aren't too short! Also, I like that it gives me a nice layer to take the chill off, but isn't as heavy as a lot of other similar tops. The fit is great but you may want to size up from your usual.

This is one of the most comfortable shirts ever. It kept me dry on my recent ski trip and I'm looking forward to wearing it on some upcoming summer mountain hikes.
