Love it, almost perfect

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

The little feathers get out CONSTANTLY. Mine's a black jacket, so the little white speckles drive me crazy. I pull them out, but they keep coming.

Other than that, it's super warm, super soft, super light, super nice feeling against the skin. For my motorcycle, under a thick leather jacket, it's the best thing I've found so far for 0-10 degrees celsius.

Leaves a lot of feathers behind

I was impressed with this jacket at first (light and packs small), but then I wore it. I've never had a down jacket that leaves so much down on anything that it comes into contact with.

Nice jacket: not shiny like a trash bag

This jacket is very nice, comfortable and lightweight, especially for the current price on ($161). It is not shiny as the picture implies, but looks more like the image of the Santiago down jacket. I found this jacket in a North Face store, and would have purchased it if they had the correct size. Since the image looks so shiny online, I originally doubted it was the same jacket, but after double checking, I made the purchase and I am happy.

I am 6'2", 160lbs so I generally need a slim fit, but my arms are long with wide shoulders, so long-sleeve garments usually don't fit. I purchased the large. The body has a little extra room, but it will be good for layering if needed. The arms are just long enough.

The jacket has a hip adjustment to keep out the wind, but I would also like a waist adjustment to cinch in the body.

I want to know that if this one can be the inner jacket of the Mountain Light Jacket. You see,the Mountain Light Jacket has two zips and one of the zips is to connect the inner jacket,so these two jackets can be combined into one jacket.I wonder whether this one can connect the Mountain Light Jacket by using its own zip?

my questions is: if this North Face Down Under Jacket also use the "Eastern European goose down from Eastern European geese"?

label said "Guarantee to have 70% goose down cluster"

Read: may have 30% feather in the down.

I returned mine right away due to multiple feathers sticking through the inner jacket fabric. Feeling the down between two fingers reveal unacceptable amount of feather for this supposed 800 fill down. Patagonia down jacket are much better.
