The North Face Dome 8 Tent 8-Person 4-Season - 2007 BCS
Available Colors / Styles
Pitch The North Face Dome 8 Tent at your Karakoram or Himalayan base camp. This 4-season, 8-person dome tent features upper vents that work with the inevitable wind rather than against it—because of the vent flaps, the wind lifts the tent rather than knocking it over. No-stretch KEVLAR® guylines hold this tent securely in place. Pack snow on the Dome 8 base's snow flaps for even greater stability—wind won't get underneath the tent and flip it up. Three large double doors give you and your seven tent mates plenty of maneuvering room and ventilation. A spacious vestibule provides you with a transition area and covers your gear. You can pitch just this tent's fly when you want a lighter weight shelter.
Bottom Line: The North Face Dome 8 Tent—the mountaineer's home away from home.

such a sick tent. We have it set up here without the inner body, as a lightweight shell for cooking. Its perfect for glacier life in this way because you can carve out benches and cooking space below where the floor would be. easy to set up as well with the top pole hub feature

actally Coleman is probably very capable of building a tent of this caliber. They dont sponsor trips to Everest because thats not part of there business model. they offer reasonbly priced gear aimed more for family type outings. The high end mountaineering market is crowded and very expensive. Coleman probably doesnt see the need to try and enter such a market considering how much profit they make currently.

Okay, so the ladies were a little corny modeling the tent, but this tent rocks...

The 3 sets of screened double doors provide ridiculous ventilation - great for our warmer weather programs.
Change me.

4-Season TentsNice tent
Very nice place to hang out. Most of these large 8 person tents seem pretty much the same. They give you a place to hang out and cook, stay dry, store more...
Some people....
First off, I do NOT own this tent, and I would not normally review something I do not own, but I am finding myself compelled to rate this 5 stars, just more...
