Description

Proven durability, performance, and comfort.

The incredibly popular The North Face Women’s Denali Thermal Jacket combines time-tested performance and environmentally responsible design. The North Face uses plush, recycled Polarted 300 high-loft fleece to insulate you even when wet—and to reduce landfill waste at the same time. Abrasion-resistant reinforcements in high-stress areas amp up durability, and the jacket’s low bulk lets you pack it wherever you go. Wear this jacket alone for spring, summer, and fall adventuring—and then zip it into your ski shell in winter for added insulation.

I bought this jacket to keep the cold out on a September Yukon trip. I was disappointed that there weren't reinforced elbows like the older versions, and the wind went right through it! It ended up staying back at the tent most of the trip while I layered some less bulky base layers under a Patagonia retro-x vest to take it's place (best vest EVER). Although I think it's a great fleece to wear around the house all winter to stay cozy (it's super soft!), it's not my choice for outdoor activities. Returning it and going to try out the Norrona Warm3 instead.

Well I'm 5'5 and 135lbs so pretty close size and I have a medium. By itself it is prettier big and baggy but it has an adjustable bottom which helps. For me the small fits better, but I like to be able to fit a sweatshirt and extra layers on top. The medium is perfect for it. So I would say Medium if you like to layer underneath or a small if your just going to wear t shirt beneath.

Backcountry probably just has some stock left to sell. That's probably why it's on sale.

This is my first North Face jacket - guess I had to have one after my teenage daughter gushed over hers! It's so soft and warm, but light and comfortable. Great price from this site! Couldn't ask for more!

I didn't buy it from this website, I actually bought it from TNF.com but I wanted to write a review here too. I LOVE this jacket! It is extremely warm! In fact sometimes it's too warm (which is a good thing when in the car stepping out into the cold weather). i'M 5'10'' and the arms fit me perfectly. I've worn this multiple times in 30 degree weather and not needed any other layers. Of course I wasn't out for extended periods of time. I never dry this jacket and it's always washed on a gentle cycle. My jacket is washed often because my young son is always toughing me with something sticky when I'm wearing it.

I would buy this a thousand times over. I even bought a little one for my son. Some would think it silly to buy something so expensive for someone who can only wear it one season but it was worth it to me!

How warm is the jacket? And for my 15 year old daughter should I get a kids medium or a women's small? She is 5'4, 115 pounds, 34 A, and usually wears women's medium shirts.

The jacket is warm but not as warm as a winter jacket. The wind does penetrate some. The jacket is very comfortable and soft! We bought a women's small for our daughter who is 5' 6 1/2", 120 pounds, 32C and it fits her perfectly with the sleeves extending about an inch past her wrist.

I checked around a little bit, including TNF's site and it doesn't look like the Denali comes in a Women's XXL.

I would normally wear an XXL. I purchaced a mens L and it fits great.

Hi Kandace, waist/chest size are more important factors in determining the correct size, get those for yourself and follow the sizing chart...

This jacket does not keep you warm if it is windy.
It is really light weight on the plus side, and will keep you warm if it is not windy.
Cute jacket. very soft.

It's soft and that's about where it ends. I find that it's boxy and not very flattering like other brands of fleece jackets.. Also, the fuzzies got all over my sweater.. It was returned the very next day.

i have one of the discontinued colors, and it's warm but when its windy out you may need a hoody underneath. i love mine though. and don't be scared if its not as fuzzy after you wash it - it puffs back up.

This jacket is super cute but, it doesn't hold up will, it gets pilled and not soft after the first time you wash it, it is not warm AT ALL, and it's such a rip-off.

My daughter had two of them through middle school (gray/white, black/black) girls denali. They are not warm but the kids love them. I washed them seperately, zippered and turned inside out. Absolutely no fabric softener and hang to dry. Hers still looked fabulous even after she out grew them and gave them to a friend.

This jacket runs very big. The small women's fits like a medium. Just got it and probably need to return it. Bummer
