An absolute staple for our kids

We've been buying this jacket for our 3 boys for the past three years. They are made well enough that they get handed down to the next kid in line and still look great. Our oldest is on his 3rd jacket and I don't forsee stopping anytime soon. We've had to replace a few simply because the kids have lost them and refuse to go without! The heavyweight fleece is perfect for spring and fall and the occasional warm winter day. Love it!
Great Jacket!

This is a great jacket. Ordered one size up for my son - he wears a 12 and the 14-16 fit him well with some room to grow. Keeps him super warm and he loves the Conifer Green color.

Bought this for my son for X-mas. He absolutely loves it. Keeps him warm for those days/nights when it's in-between a winter jacket and a hoodie. Fits well but is a little large. Good thing though as he can grow into it. Delivery came when it was expected. Will definately buy from Backcountry again.
Brought for my 6 year old Kindergartner!

My son is a typical rough and tumble six year old. For this school year I decided to spend the extra money and buy a jacket that would last; I was not dissapointed. This jacket works great in all weather, is snug (fits a litte on the small size as a heads up) and comes in many different color combos. I was abit sheepish about the fleece and polyester combination but it turns out it works just fine. My son recently ventured into the snow in this jacket and although the fleece got wet it didn't soak through, this is a stylish windproof lightweight jacket that has held up surprisingly well through ninja kicks, army rolls and endless adventures. I highly reccommend.

I already know this jacket is great, the whole family has one. I think mine is 10+ years old. But going forward, I will always buy from backcountry.com. I bought the wrong size for my son, called to adjust (which I expected to be a nightmare) and Ian was SO nice and helpful. I was off the phone in 2 minutes.

This is the 3rd Denali I have bought for my family. They are warm and durable. I am planning on keeping mine for a long time and keeping the other 2 for hand me downs for my 3 boys. worth the money!

Will this be good on a mountain?

It depends on what you're doing on the mountain. But more than likely yes. It isn't windproof but it does have some wind-blocking panels and it's a thicker fleece. DWR is great, and that will help keep the wetness from seeping through. Though snow tends to stick to fleece after a while. Hope that helps.

This would work fine for any alpine activity. These fleeces are very warm and thick, and work well under a shell jacket.
