Whether you're running errands on a frigid morning or breaking a trail through the woods in your snowshoes, The North Face Denali Glove provides the warmth of 300-weight fleece when you need it the most. Wear the gloves alone for casual use or high-energy adventures; nylon taslan over the knuckles and fingers to add a bit of wind resistance and protect against abrasion, while PU patches on the palms ensure a firm grip and elastic at the wrist seals out drafts. Or you can layer shells over these thick fleece gloves to ensure you don't worry about ending a day on the slopes with white tips.

Good Casual Gloves

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

These gloves are fine for cold/windy weather walks or easy hiking. They fit well, look great, and are really comfortable. My only complaint is that they soak up moisture like a sponge. This was known going into the purchase so I don't really mind, but be aware these are not water proof or resistant for that matter.

TNF Glove

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

Thick warm windproof glove that keep coldness off from your fingertips. Washable and the additional protective layer on the palm make it less susceptible to wear and tear from grabbing of the hiking sticks. Have always been part of my winter attire ever since I got it.

A Wake Up Call to North Face?

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs small

I think that North Face sells good quality as a rule. These gloves might be the exception though. The inside seams are finished off in a sloppy manner so the fit is not as comfortable as it could be . One of the seams between two fingers opened up after less than four weeks of wear so I just sent them off to North Face for repair. This, in the dead of winter...not good. The North Face warranty is good, but who wants to pack and ship?

The gloves themselves provide a reasonable amount of insulation for the chills of winter. A bit more focus on quality control would make them a lot better.

toasty warm

  • Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit:True to size

Got these for my brother, but it's a good, basic cold weather glove. They aren't very waterproof--so taking it to the mountain just kept his hands warm--but didn't do much for keeping them dry. Good for cold weather and non-snow kinda activities.

These have been great!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

Been using this for a while, in the field most of the time, great gloves, great mobility, really resistant and enduring, but not so great dealing with water. True to size, I used the print that BC recommends and had no problem at all.

Totally recommended.

Somewhat disappointing

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I received these gloves today, and they seem to be as warm and comfortable as expected given the materials and price.

However, TNF really dropped the ball when it comes to appearance. The "Deep Water Blue" gloves I received are a very noticeably different shade of blue than my brand new (authentic) "Deep Water Blue" Denali jacket. Additionally, the nylon on the back of the hands is a THIRD shade of blue instead of being black like pictured here. Black nylon would match the jacket nylon, but why would that make sense if the fleece doesn't match? I paid a little bit of a premium for these over similar quality gloves so that they would match, and now it just looks like I bought either them or the jacket from the black market. Not what I expected, and no point in paying extra if they don't match anyway.

Somewhat disappointing

Not enough for cold windy weather

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I really love The North Face products, I have a great Jacket by them, and obviously they're a really high-quality company.

I just moved from a warmer climate to NYC. Weather has been around 30s-40s at night, with cold wind blowing, and these gloves DID NOT keep my hands warm. Maybe these are meant for slightly "warmer" weather, but my hands felt the cold wind and they didn't stay warm.

I will try out ther insulated apex gloves and see how it goes.
