Cabelas has same boys denali for $78.99 and back counrty will not match the price so before you buy it check out other sites. Now i have to return this one, what a pain!!!

From what I just saw online, Cabela's doesn't have the black. Did you see it online or in the store?
It depends on what you're doing on the mountain. But more than likely yes. It isn't windproof but it does have some wind-blocking panels and it's a thicker fleece. DWR is great, and that will help keep the wetness from seeping through. Though snow tends to stick to fleece after a while. Hope that helps.

This is the 3rd Denali I have bought for my family. They are warm and durable. I am planning on keeping mine for a long time and keeping the other 2 for hand me downs for my 3 boys. worth the money!
This would work fine for any alpine activity. These fleeces are very warm and thick, and work well under a shell jacket.

Son hasn't taken it off since he got it. Size runs average. Nice color. He stays warm till about 30 degrees without any other jacket

It would be tight. My son is about that size, and let me tell ya, it is impossible finding stuff to fit him now. I have been trying to get him to fit into a mens small, but he is just a bit to small for that, and a bit too big to spend alot of money on him, when he will out grow it in months

Everything I was looking for was not available. Took another customer's advice and went to Cabela's. Man spent approximately one hour on the telephone with me helping me find the right North Face winter jacket for my son. Also proceeded to help me find a North Face pair of gloves and hat to go with the jacket. The prices were fantastic. Awesome experience and prices were excellent!

Denalis tend to have a long sleeves and shorter "body". If your son needs to have a jacket which will kinda "roomy" go choose XL (sleeves could be long), if he prefers more snuggly fit - L will be ok.

Any shell with double front zippers like: Mountain Light, Triclimate, Nimbostratus. Resolve and Venture don't have a double zippers.

Great for cold mornings at the bus stop. Light enought to stow away in lockers or school bags when it warms up. Upper fabric allows for protection in light rain. Great color selections.

This is the best jacket for any type of temperature except hot, of course. It keeps my soon very warm and he never complains of being cold even in the dead of winter. I also bought the hat that matches. Perfect for early winter season.

I ordered this coat for my 5 year old and it fits him perfectly. The neon green really highlights the jacket. My free shipping was very fast and the coat is perfect. The price was way below what I would pay for the same coat in the store. I am very pleased with my purchase and just ordered one for my middle son. Next week I will be ordering one for my daughter.

My son is 13 years old and normally wears a 12/14. So I bought him a large. It was to small...so I called and had an XL sent in exchange for it and it was just a little big...he is a growing boy, so that is cool with both of us. And he loves the jacket.

There is a reason everyone has this piece of fleece....the Denali's popularity is warranted. I am 5'3 and 90 lbs, the boy's x large fits better than the women's small and saved me a chunk of money as well. This is one of the best all around pieces of fleece. Fits great under a shell for added warmth and its a great solo piece as well. Durable, quality construction that I have come to expect from North Face gear.
