Description

This classic fleece gets an insulated facelift for colder winter excursions.

The North Face Men's Denali Down Fleece Jacket sees you through cold hikes and even colder ski sessions with toasty warmth. Recycled Polartec 300 Series makes up this heavyweight fleece to keep you toasty on frigid nights, and a DWR coating helps you stay dry during light snow showers. Durable nylon panels cover 550-fill down insulation around your chest and shoulders to warm your core on the chairlifts when you wear this fleece as a mid-layer.

The Denali Down features elasticized cuffs to keep the jacket in place when you throw a waterproof shell over it. The North Face added a media pocket so you can jam out to your favorite tunes from fall's cold trails to winter's ski sessions. And you can zip in compatible shells by The North Face for completely sealed protection on the slopes this winter.

  • Recycled Polartec 300 Series shell with DWR coating
  • Laundered two-ply nylon abrasion panels
  • 550-fill down insulation in shoulders and chest
  • Elastic-bound cuffs
  • One napoleon, one media, and two hand pockets
  • Zip-in compatibility with clothing from The North Face

Nice jacket

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

This is a great everyday jacket for cool to cold conditions.

The down keeps the upper torso MUCH warmer than the traditional Denali jacket, more wind stoppage.

I wish it still had the extra pocket on the front like the traditional Denali, but that is the only drawback on the design. Great product.

As a note, the customer service at this company is AWESOME! When initially ordered, the wrong item was shipped, but they made it EASY to return and sent the correct item ASAP as per my request.

Great folks to work with and I will be buying from them again!!!

This same jacket is on sale at other places...

This same jacket is on sale at other places for $129 or less. But they don't have my size. Will u match price?

Thanks rod

Responded on

Rod,
We will price match other established online retailers (e.g. REI, Moosejaw, campsaver). However we cannot match general coupons or store wide promotions, only product specific prices. And we can only price match if the item/color/size that you want to buy from us is one they are offering for the reduced price (i.e. we cannot sell a TNF Denali Jacket in Black/Medium at a price match if the retailer we are matching is only offering the Green in a XXXL for that price). Please chat or call in to one of our customer service Gearheads if you have an specific questions about this process.

Finally cold enough

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

It has finally gotten cold enough to test this out, and I am thrilled with it. We got a terrible storm yesterday in which the temps dropped 40 degrees through the front moving through. I started the day in my rain gear, and was carrying this. By the end of the day I had this zipped into the shell and was nice and toasty. Lets some wind in without the shell over it, but that's the nature of fleece and was/is to be expected. With the shell over it, it turns the shell into a winter coat, and is great. I would highly recommend this, so long as you keep your expectations realistic.

Just a side note. I washed this per the instructions on a gentle- all of the insulation came out. IF you should wash this, I would suggest by hand only. This was returned without any trouble and has been exchanged for a Thermoball.... review of that to follow.
