Description

Durability, quick dry times, and warmth make this jacket a winner on your alpine ascents.

The North Face Men's Defroster Fleece Hooded Jacket works great as an outer layer in mild conditions and a mid-layer in worse weather. Its FlashDry technology keeps you dry when you work up a sweat on your alpine ascent. It doesn't just wick moisture, it pushes perspiration out of the jacket so it dries faster than most fleece jackets. The Pontetorto Tecnostretch fabric helps the jacket pack small when space is an issue, and it resists the toughest abrasions against rock.

An active fit keeps the Defroster close to the body without restricting your movement up the mountain. Its scuba-style hood fits snugly around your head to keep you comfortable even when you wear a helmet. A no-rise hem is slightly longer in the back to cover your body completely when you reach above your head. Thumbloops ensure the sleeves stay in place while you stretch and pull your way up a cliff. And two pockets are there to warm your hands even if you have a harness or a pack on.

color

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small

thought the green was like the one in the picture, it wasn't so i exchanged it for the high rise grey(white). As far as size, it does run a little small.

Amazing jacket

  • Fit: Runs small

Bought this jacket to replace another. Couldn't be happier. Very warm and packets too. Great buy

This midlayer looks exactly like TNF Radish of last year. They may have just changed the name to something more attractive. My Radish has an athletic fit that is slim and snug but the jacket is full stretch so it still moves with me.

Another great TNF product!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

I picked up this jacket as a great mild/mid piece. Figured it would work good with a great light weight piece under as well, and I haven't been disappointed.

I haven't taken advantage of the hood yet, but can see how the scuba style makes a great piece for use with goggles if need be.

The lightweight portion - as well as the thumbholes - help to make the piece warm enough to head around town, or lightweight on the trail. My girlfriend has already claimed usage of it.

Definitely fits tight to the body - as the description states. I bought a size up to layer a lightweight piece beneath it, and plan to use it as a shell since I don't rock climb.
