The North Face Crimptastic Hybrid Jacket uses strategically-placed panels to optimize warmth, breathability, and freedom of movement. 600-fill down on the outer arms, shoulders, chest, and back keeps you warm at your body's most exposed areas. The North Face used stretchy Polartec Power Stretch panels on the side panels, inside the arms, and on the underarms to improve breathability and free your range of motion so you can tweak, cork, and even vogue 'til the cows come home.

Great Insulator

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

I've had this jacket for a year now, and it's my go to low temperature insulation. Great weight to warmth ratio, fits perfectly under my technical shell. The stretch material where you need it on the pit and elbows is great for backcountry and climbing mobility and breathability.

Great jacket

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

The crimptastic is really warm. I thought i could zip it in to my NF shell jacket, but it's not designed to be zipped into a shell. Keeps me really warm though. Very lightweight.

I really like this jacket, and spent a month climbing in Patagonia in it, and found it to be perfect. I really like the mix of fleece and down, and this is a nice weight for stuffing in your pack until you need it.

Plus it's called the crimptastic. That's fantastic.
