This cloth is not good at wearing in town as it collects a lot of lint every day. It makes look very dirt. Somehow, this type of hyvent materials is collecting lint seriously. So does The North Face Cassius jacket. I guess it is true for all hyvent triclimate jacket. Although it is a good looking jacket, I have to return it for this annoying short come.

I bought this jacket for my husband three years ago as a gift. He absolutely loves it. I chose this jacket because the liner is an Apex softshell jacket which I thought he would prefer over a fleece liner. I was right. We live in PA and he wears this jaacket for three seasons. The softshell liner is great in the fall and cooler spring days. The liner worn separately is a great rain jacket for chilly days. And both together provide warmth and weather protection on the coldest of winter days. The only thing is the zipper on the outer shell has frayed and he can no longer zip up the jacket. But, because of Backcountry's amazing return policy, we are able to return that jacket and I am purchasing this jacket again to replace the defective one. It's wonderful to be able to do that. This is almost a $300 jacket so it would be really disappointing if he were no longer able to use it in really cold weather because of the zipper after only 3 years. It's too bad that the color I bought originally is no longer available because it was a great color but they have good options now too. Anyway, if you're looking for an awesome 3 season jacket, don't hesitate to buy this!

Recently spent a week in Washington State and purchased this jacket for its windproof and waterproof design. I live in FL so did not want something too warm. The liner was great for mid 30's and up. Never really used the shell since it was dry weather, but it is definitely warm. Very good quality.
