Because warm and dry beats cold and wet any day.

Waterproof boots mean warm, dry feet winter after winter. That's certainly the idea behind the Women's Chilkat Nylon Boots from The North Face. The waterproof ballistic nylon and leather uppers shrug off snow and rain with ease. A Dri-Lex fleece lining helps to keep your feet both warm and dry, while the compression-molded EVA midsole offers support and comfort if you find yourself on your feet for extended amounts of time. Speaking of staying on your feet, The North Face used Winter Grip rubber for the soles and IcePick temperature-sensitive lugs to give you the best traction possible in both icy and slushy conditions.

    Keep feet dry and warm!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 7.5

I took these out on a 3 mile hike in 4-5 inches of snow the other morning and my feet stayed completely dry and toasty warm.
I did get blisters on my heels, but I was wearing awful socks, so I am hoping that was the issue. I wore these boots all day today at work and had no blister issues (but I was sitting down most of the day).
I bought these in my normal size of 7.5 and they fit great.

    Very comfortable and warm.

I got the dark eggplant purple/greystone blue and I love the color. I wore it to work a couple of times since I got it and then once when I went skiing with my friends. Aside from being very comfortable, it kept my feet warm enough considering that I was outside for more almost 2 hours watching my friends taking skiing lessons. I would love to get another pair of this in another color.

Do you have this lovely show in size 9? Desperate! Soo cold

I've been looking at the reivews of a few apres boots (Verbera Utility / Nuptse Purna / Chilkat III) and wondering if these will keep my feet warm and dry, and if the size runs small?

I need a boot that will be sturdy on sleet and snow but I will only be wearing 2-3 wks per year on holidays so I would like something that isn't going to take a whole season to mould to my feet.

    thanks :)

Hey, I bought these boots recently and you need to go about a 1/2 size up. I haven't worn them in extreme weather yet (I also purchased them for a ski trip) but they are comfy with a pair of warm socks, and although I thought they seemed a little tight across where the lacing stops, they broke in with me just walking around the house in them in about 10 min. So far, super comfy!
